eBay Mattress woes

Purchased a mattress on eBay. Seller managed to send the wrong one twice, after the second one arrived and was incorrect, I opened a SNAD case and they have until the 22nd to send me a return label.

The issue I have is they have messaged me and asked me to wrap the mattress up in plastic sheeting/bubble wrap/black sacks and seal it so it is ready for them to send a courier - They haven't issued a return label yet and due to the size of it (Super king 4" deep) I am going to need to buy the wrapping. It arrived vacuum sealed so cannot go back in the original packaging.

What is my best option, wait until the 22nd, then ask eBay to step in or contact eBay now and explain the issue?

Ask them to send you the packaging as you don't have any, it's not an unreasonable request - I have done exactly that for customers.

They have an online shop as well trading as a standalone business, but sell on eBay as well, prices are cheaper... And now I know why :#:D

I don’t know about everyone else but when I want a new mattress I go into a shop and lie down on a few to see if they are comfortable  :D

I do the same. Find the one I want then I go home and buy it cheaper online.

I am puzzled why you would remove the packing to know the mattress was the wrong one.
As it was the second one I would have been extra sure it was correct before removing the vacuum packaging.

First one wasn't vacuum sealed, so was easy to slide back in and reseal.

This mattress arrived fully rolled up and vacuum sealed (as to the majority of non-spring mattresses). The instructions are to fully open it and let it lay flat for 24-48hrs so that it fully unshrinks. No other option than to open it.
