I asked if they would send me some packaging and they refused0 -
Small update:
eBay have stepped in after I phoned them, as the seller sent me a standard RM returns label. Now waiting the '5 Calendar days'0 -
If I wasn't bald I would pull my hair out.
Seller is refusing to supply any packaging. Spoke to an eBay CSA over the weekend who was really helpful and confirmed this goes against their policy and is a common trick sellers use to avoid having to refund, they even noted the seller originally issued a RM large letter label just to trick the eBay system.
They gave the seller until Wednesday 28th to send me the required packaging - Today the seller updated the case and told eBay I'd agreed to a courier collection on Friday 30th. Seller has since messaged telling me the courier is coming between 9am-5pm and they expect the Mattress to be packaged up so the courier can take it away. If it isn't correctly packaged the courier will refuse collection.
I just spoke to an eBay CSA who was super unhelpful... She told me to not answer the door to the courier and say they didn't turn up and then eBay will "probably" refund me. Not answering the door won't be a problem as I'll be at work.1 -
What a nightmare. Are they hoping that the courier being unable to collect will mean Ebay will find in their favour?1

As the CSA said "telling you with 3 days notice to be at home between 9am-5pm is not feasible, people have to work"
Just need to wait and see what nonsense they come back with now.

Still stuck with the Mattress Topper. eBay have placed another hold on the case and asked me to work it out with the seller again, despite constantly telling me the seller is in the wrong.
Seller is now telling me I can wrap it up and leave it outside for collection. Their own Courier told me in writing if I do this they won't collect it and eBay tell me to wait for the Seller to send packaging which they are refusing to do. I have asked the Seller 4 times what to do as their instructions differ from the Courier and each time they ignore the question.
I'm pretty fed up with eBay at this point as their CSA's keep telling me the Seller is deliberately stalling as they know they can't resell the mattress as it's been opened, but the Seller is now on their '3rd last chance' from eBay.0 -
Okay, so more of a positive update... About 30mins after I posted the above, the Seller messaged again ignoring everything I had asked and telling me they had rebooked a courier for Friday between 7am - 8pm and I would need to fully package the mattress back up.
I phoned eBay and finally got hold of someone competent, who read through the messages and said "This is all a bit silly, they are clearly messing you around, I have issued the refund for you. Don't worry about sending it back"
As it's unused and with the fire tags I am donating to charity.5 -
