Half way through BT contract (Full Fibre)
I'm at the mid way point of a 24 month contract on Full Fibre and just missed City Fibre availability in my area by a few months when I signed up. With the impending proce increase, are there any options other than to sit out the term?

The MSE deal suggests a monthly cost of £18 with a reward card and the Vodafone site offers £22 per month with a reward card making it £17 per month not…

Should I switch to TalkTalk from Plusnet?
Hi, My Plusnet contract is up in a couple of weeks. Just been looking at options, Plusnet are offering me the same fibre at £27.50 to stay with them. Other options include TalkTalk at £23.50 a month but get a £75 voucher so works out at £19.33 a month for the same speed. Should I switch?

Vodaphone price increases - can I leave?
Just been informed of a 9.3% price increase on my braodband. I am 8 months into a 24 month contract. Delving into the terms and conditions it appears this increase is written in for each April. CPI increase + 3.9%. I don't remember that being a headline aspect of the deal when I bought it. It didn't say "£22 per month with…

Hi, can anybody tell me if I can switch from one supplier to another if I am still in contract with them. At the time of starting the contract I was working but I am now on benefits and the company I am with do not offer a reduced tariff on this benefit but another does. Will I be charged for leaving the company I am with…

Grandparents ripped off by Virgin broadband
Hi all, My wife's grandparents have been seriously taken advantage of by Virgin. They've been with them for years for their Internet. Their bills had been going up but they're a bit naive and assumed they were paying the going rate. They're paying £75 per month for 350mb broadband! This is a couple who are nearly both 80,…

Virgin
Following advice on the forum, I rang Virgin cancellation department. I got 25 minutes of ear-splitting dissuasive music and then the call was terminated without warning. Very disappointing service from Virgin.

What Plusnet can do and can't do
Hi there, Plusnet have said that they can't supply us with fibre, although we have the fibre cable right outside our house. Something to do with the green cabinet and the wiring (didn't get the exact details)... They told us only BT can do it, and BT are only offering 1000 Meg, which is a costly one. We don't want to leave…

Virgin problems
Due to Virgin now charging
£70 for broadband and landline I eventually managed to cancel with them but had
to give 30 days notice. Two days later
the landline died and they sent an engineer. He said the problem could not be dealt with without us cancelling the
notice, so we did and the only workround was for him to plug in…

FTTP Options & Advice please
After 2 years of broken promises, Openreach has finally installed the fibres for FTTP. I live in a rural area with a very limited mobile phone service and <2Mbps download speed so it's really exciting! I've been doing some research this morning and have some questions and I would really appreciate honest answers. Is 40mbps…

I was given a speed estimate of 11mbps As it was coming to an end they offered me another 18 months fixed deal and after looking around I took that up and the cost was £20.22 per…

Broadband upload speeds
We have been streaming onto Facebook live since lockdown, around once a month. This Sunday the stream was very poor - Audio OK but Video frame rate was excessively low. Tests show that the upload rate on our broadband has dropped to around 1-2 Mb/s, and it needs to be around 10. My package quotes average 8-10Mb/s, which we…

Talktalk - £10 increase or renew contract for another 18 months
Hey all, I've recently received an email from talktalk as my current 18 month contract is coming to an end. See below: How common of a practice is this? I think it's absolutely ridiculous. Just on principle I'll be cancelling and going to someone else but I hate that I now have to sign up with another 12 or 18 month…

Talk Talk contract
We have been with talk talk for years a while ago they increased our charge to £22.50, unfortunately, that was agreed without my say. I received an email saying as of the 1st of April it is going up another £2.50! I checked the comparison and for the same package Fibre 35 it says existing customers £22 for a 18 month…

Cancelled sky package
I've cancelled my sky TV, broadband and phone package. I don't want any TV package, just broadband and phone line. Do I need any information other than my landline number from sky to start somewhere else? I've never cancelled sky for 13 years and I can go without BB and phone line whilst I look for deals but I wanted to…
