Hi,
Seems other similar posts are now Closed, so thought it best to start a new one.
Having looked on this and Virgin Medias own forum, somewhat alarmed at the comments from folk trying to leave VM.
No way will we be phoning them up to leave by giving the 30 days notice prior to the end of our contract with them, just too many folk talking about their lengthy nightmare calls with VM.
So we wanted to ask for any hints on how best to ensure we could get it sorted quickly.
We will be writing to the Custmers Services at Nottingham via a signed for service, but from some posts, seems staff will even deny they ever received things.
( we do not need any transfer details from VM and do not use the landline so not bothered about the old number)
Can we ask or expect they will reply confiming our instructions and advising what to do with their very old router and Tivo.
Any help appreciated ....

https://www.virginmedia.com/shop/the-legal-stuff/terms-and-conditions-for-fibre-optic-services - see Section N - Other ways to end this agreementSee sub-sections 1 and 2, and for equipment return, sub-section 10.Sub section 10 may only apply to newer hardware, and the Tivo. The really old router may be disposable (they'll advise as appropriate), but the Tivo will probably need returning. They will normally send you a returns bag I believe. The quickest route will probably be to phone. Yes you may hang on for best part of an hour or so but it'll be quicker than waiting 72hrs for Postman Pat.0
