Plusnet: cautionary warning

I've been with Plusnet in the past and found it excellent. However, for some unknown reason Plusnet is not part of Ofcom’s automatic compensation scheme that offers customers £5-£8 for every day they are without service, depending on the cause. Other (potential) customers may want to take note that Plusnet is not part of the scheme which has been signed up to by all the other big providers.

The latest numbers I can find online (market share for 2020) give BT (33%),Sky (22%), Virgin (20%) and TalkTalk (10%). All have signed up to the OFCOM scheme. That's 85% of the market.JJ_Egan said:All the big providers are you sure of that .0 -

Plusnet do have issues in other areas (namely billing, billing and billing) but otherwise there is no obligation to join this scheme.
