Hi,
I taken out a Shell BB in Nov last year. It is coming to end soon. I am paying £26.99 for superfast broadband which also include an MSE offer of £75
Once the contract ends will the price remains at £26.99 or will it ho up?
I did rang Shell 2 weeks ago but didn't want to offer me any better. Has anyone else managed to negotiate a better deal?
Thanks

I also have BB through Shell and the service has been nothing short of appalling. Setup a Direct Debit which Shell despite saying the payment would be taken did not request payment from my bank. Clearly the DD system is beyond the understanding of some.
However, my contract is now over and having search for a new provided have been advised by Shell Broadband that my final bill will include a cease charge of £15 as clearly shown in section 5.11 on page 16 of 27.
This is a heads up to those looking to move to Shell, you will have to pay £15 to leave then at any time in the future.1 -
It's clear Shell are still trying it on with the cease charge, if you signed up via Money Saving Expert refer them toBroadband Promotional Terms and Conditions
Policy version: 5.1.16Policy date: 16/09/2020
Where it states
Customers signing up to Shell Energy Broadband (12 month) products through moneysavingexpect.com will not receive a Cease Charge as set out in our Terms and Conditions and Price List if they leaveoutside their minimum contract period.1 -
I originally took out Shell Broadband in October 2020 on a 12 month contract through MSE. The service has been appalling from day one. Internet dropped off continuously. They couldn't get my bills right. Customer Service appalling. Therefore I left Shell this October when my contract ran out. I have an email from them agreeing my leaving date. My account said closed so I thought that was the end of it. However have just been hounded by debt agency. They say I owe £57. When I asked what that was for she said it was Late Termination Fee. She then said that all Shell contracts are for 18 months. MSE one was for 12 months. I was able to prove it by sending her an email with my original contract clearly stating 12 months.
I hope this is the end of it.
Has anyone else suffered this problem please?0 -
I have just left Shell a month ago for a cheaper deal with BT,had no problems except for asking for a pre paid bag for their router & ended up with 7 of them, lol.Regretting moving as my BT speeds are worse and i have to start the router about 4 or 6 times a week, had to do it with Shell router but only 1 or twice a week.

Check cabling etc as its the same infrastructure .Router restart Shell and BT suggests a fault that needs reporting .1
