Took advantage of the Moneysavingexpert Virgin broadband offer in June. Ordered online and received email confirmation of the order with correct details on it. Installation due today (2 weeks later) but no engineer. Called Virgin to be told that my order 'didn't push through' and therefore wasn't valid. Couldn't tell me…

Plusnet Broadband + Line Rental
HiI've just got off the phone to Plusnet and they've confused me even more than when I started. In September 2020 I took out a 24 month contract for £20.99 for fibre extra, line rental and evening/weekend calls. I took advantage of their line rental saver so paid the first year's line rental upfront which meant I was only…

Will I lose Virginmedia emails if I cancel the contract
I have been with virgin media ever since I first got on line and I have broadband and TV with them and it is now ridiculously expensive. The only reason i have stayed with them is that I am frightened of losing my email address, which I know will happen if I cancel the contract. I have worked out that I can start giving…

Virgin media impossible
I have been a virgin media customer for years now. In that time I have moved 3 times and always stayed with them. I am paying £87 a month for my tv, phone and broadband and have been paying that for a long time now, even though I knew I was paying more than I should. I’ve always been too lazy/loyal to change. However,…

Virgin Media Debt collection letter. No Virgin Media account!
My husband received a letter in February from Virgin Media saying that we had defaulted on a credit agreement. It doesn't say what for. Also, no money has been taken out of his bank account. We ignored it because we have never had any dealings with Virgin Media and thought it was a scam, however every month the letters…

Question about 3 month offer for Lebara Unlimited Data SIM
From what I understand, Lebara use the Vodafone network and you can use their SIM in an unlocked phone, or a Mifi device. I see there is currently an offer on their website for the rolling 30 day plan for Unlimited Data with 3 months half price at £12.50 a month and then £25 after that. (Alternatively it is £22.50 for a 12…

How do cancel Virgin contract?
I rang Virgin Media at 8:50 this morning to cancel my contract. After 50 minutes with no answer I gave up. I tried the message technique and got transferred to WhatsApp at 9:50. I was contacted by a member of the team at 11:13 who tried to sell me a new deal, despite me making it clear to the Bot that I wanted to leave.…

Virgin media broadband start date
Hi, currently have broadband & phone with Plusnet, contract end date is 17th July. Speeds have been poor, so time to move on. Have seen the new virgin 200mb deal on this week's newsletter, if I sign up today, when does the contract start? Is it today? Or when it's fitted (thinking 4th July, next convenient day)?

Beware Shell Broadband Wireless Router Charge
I returned my router within 30 days of switching away (in accordance with T&Cs) but still Shell sent me a notification that I had not returned the router (nearly two months after my contract ended) and I would therefore be charged. Shell refunded the charge because I complained and said ‘it’s suffering delays in processing…

Virgin Media - 1Gbps
Hi all, I hope you're well, I've taken a new contract with Virgin Media that provides 1gbps speed. Their internet router offers 1gbps via ethernet but not WiFi, this is due to their router only being WiFi 5 and not WiFi 6... I've discussed this with them and they're saying they don't offer a WiFi 6 router as standard and…

Genuinely shocked to see 'fair usage' policies still exist
Looking around for a new broadband contract and noticed Shell Energy have a fair usage and is quite detailed in the terms for it so you know they will enforce. In 2022, we live in a digital age. When streaming and download files is so popular, limiting customers speeds seems a bit... old fashioned, doesn't it?
