Virgin media, about to run out of contract
My broadband only contract is up next month. The price will go up from £24 to £44 which is absurd. Even more so considering they are still offering the £24 contract to "new customers only" according to price comparison websites. I thought this practice got banned, or was it just banned for insurance companies? What would…

Blacklisted by Bt
I had problems with my internet for 9 months, sometimes dropping as low as 2mb on a stay fast guarantee of 45mb. Finally on the 4th visit and a senior engineer it was determined that it was in the junction box. There was a lot of back and forth, not pretty but very civil, they admitted it was there fault and its been great…

Broadband Bills Going Up... Is anyone writing about this?
All, With all the news about Gas, Electricity and Council Tax going up, I think everyone has forgotten about the ruse that All broadband and mobile firms have been doing for the past couple of years. Sticking in a term which allows them to increase their prices mid-contract (without you being able to get out because it was…

Virgin Media MSE December 2021 offer a bit misleading
In the MSE's Money Tips email of 21 December 2021 it posted: Ends Thu. 108Mb fibre (MEGAFAST) Virgin broadband and line '£18.40/mth'. MSE Blagged. Till 11.59pm on Thu, Virgin Media newbies can get this 108Mb deal for £23.95/mth, plus a £100 bill credit (so you pay nothing for the first 4mths). Factor that in and it's…

It's fiber to home or something like that. So we have been told that we can't just have normal broadband. So instead of £15 a month its…

VM contract ending soon
Hi forumites, My current 18 month fiber broadband contract (100Mbps with Virgin Media) comes to an end next month. I currently pay £24 per month and then it increases to £44. While it's a decent service, it's not an extra £20 better and there seems to be plenty of competition running over Openreach lines. But if I change…

I have fibre to property but can’t get away from BT
I had fibre installed along with other people locally 2 years ago and am happy however I don’t seem to be able to change to a different supplier as they all think there’s no fibre in our area. I tried to ask BT to update their systems to make it visible that my property had fibre and they just seemed to indicate that other…
