Quidco issues
Anyone else having (further) troubles with Quidco? No payment run last week, no bank details are 'being checked' before any payments can be claimed, plus just received 8 or so emails saying cashback is confirmed from July & August?

CheapoAir over charging
I offered to book some last minute flights for a neighbour. I used CheapoAir and booked using a credit card, good job! Firstly, the outgoing flight (ezyjet) was booked and confirmed but we got no confirmation of the return flight via Monach. I phoned up quite a few times to be told I need to wait for "an e-mail" to confirm…

Just had cold Door call from safestyle
The guy caught me off guard and talked me into having a quote for new windows tomorrow evening. He was pretty pushy and managed to secure an appointment. he even tried to bring it forward to today but I just wanted to get rid of him and not be rude. We do need new windows in the future but I am not sure what kind of…

Beware of very expensive Rental agreements for Franking Machines
We would like to share our experience with other forum members and see how many other businesses have been subject to similar agreements. We are in a 75 month agreement signed in March 2014 with the Mailing Room (part of FP Mailing at the time) and financed by Investec Ltd Even in an agreement that included a buy-out of an…

Warning Butchers Tinned Cat Food Try Me Free Promotion
Hi people, just a heads up about the above promotion. 6 months ago, I purchased a pack of Butchers cat food and there was a promotion that you could cut out and send off to claim the money back. I did this and paid for a S.A.E. 4 months later I received nothing. I emailed them to complain and they ignored the email. They…

lets stop giving them publicity. You know who I mean
It is still 24 hour coverage, all the papers and all the tv news channels. The sort of publicity that they love, it makes them feel invincible and makes ordinary people frightened to go about their business

"Non-transferable"
Car parks in a local town have recently installed ticket machines which require you to enter your registration number so that you can't pass the ticket on. Why is this "non-transferable" legal? I can't see any basis. If I buy a loaf of bread the supermarket can't forbid me from eating half and giving half to someone else.…

Christmas music in shops etc
Why do retailers feel the need to play Christmas music for 4-6 weeks in their shops? They think it's a jolly thing to do. Nope. Not for their workers having to put up with two dozen songs on a loop - torture. Even customers sympathise with us. Then some call centres (can't remember which ones) play Christmas music for…
