Amazon Prime Deliveries Failing (Amazon Logistics)

Options
Just had the third delayed one this week.
We paid for Amazon Prime so we could get next day deliveries.
So I can be in to receive them. Not be told that they are being delivered - wait in all day - then receive another message stating they aren't!
They seem totally incapable since they've switched to Amazon Logistics and cut out Royal Mail.
Is anyone else with Prime finding this?

Delivery has got worse since 'Amazon Logistics' took over!

When DPD and Parcel Force were delivering my Prime packages it was a good service.

Now Parcels arrive very late or not at all!

I even had a delivery at 10.30PM

It was way too late for somebody to be hammering on my front door!
  • Agreed. We used to get the odd delivery which didn't make it next day.
Now it seems to be most of them. And at least with Royal Mail you have a vague idea of when the postman is going to turn up. Orders arriving that late is just ridiculous. People have jobs to go to...and children in bed!
Also the contact us (where's my stuff) links have disappeared from the Amazon website?

It must depend on where you live as I am getting all of my Prime deliveries on time. In fact some have actually been a day early as orders placed late at night, after the cut off for next day, have still managed to be delivered the next day. Our local Amazon Logistics drivers are currently also more reliable than RM - my post yesterday hit the doormat just before 6pm and a parcel was left in a puddle of beer in my recycling bin, even though I was at home with all the lights on.

I was singing their praises last week for a speedy Sunday delivery, on Tuesday I subscribed to prime and eagerly ordered my first prime item (admittedly just some herbal tablets) waited in all day yesterday (was supposed to be delivered yesterday), it got to 7pm so I started a live chat with Amazon who said they deliver up to 9pm.

Waited till 20 past 9 and still no delivery, back on Amazon website and it's now showing "transit delay" - I jump back on live chat who apologise and give me 1 free month of prime membership saying they will contact the courier (Amazon logistics) and ensure the item is delivered tomorrow (today).

I've just (at 12:20) received an email to say it's out for delivery, if they don't load up the van until dinner time then no wonder they deliver up till 9pm.

Hopefully this is just a small hiccup and the item will arrive today/tonight... But safe to say my first time using prime has been a disappointment hiccup or not.

What does the tracking say regarding when it was "out for delivery"?

I've found for at least the past year or so that the "out for delivery" emails are sent at least a couple of hours after the tracking shows it as being out.

In a couple of cases I've received the item before the email!
  • I used to be able to pick up my parcels at a local garage using "Collect Plus" and that was really convenient for me as I didn't have to wait at home all day for them.

Collect Plus was stopped by Amazon just after I paid for Prime membership and I refuse to wait at home all day so I don't very often order from them these days. I tried cancelling my membership but couldn't - I won't be renewing it.

I've only recently taken out prime (last couple months); whilst I do find the all day time slot a little frustrating I've had no problems with delays past the day it's due. It seems to vary by area from what I can tell xxx

Which time? You think you can load 12 hours of packets in one load?

Have you checked if they offer RM Local collect nearby?
    Doesnt do large items though.

I was meant to get a delivery last Saturday, waited in all day, then got an email at 4pm saying they wont be coming !

If you complain they will give you a months free prime for every failed delivery

Used to be DPD deliver around here, but seems Amazon have taken over, shame as with DPD you knew exactly when your parcel will be delivered
