Amazon Prime Deliveries Failing (Amazon Logistics)

Just had the third delayed one this week. We paid for Amazon Prime so we could get next day deliveries
My understanding of Prime is that the item would be delivered one business day after dispatch, not the day after the item was ordered.
I actually use the Free Delivery and 'most' things are despatched and received within a few days of order (the odd order takes a little longer). I tend to keep things in my basket until I have enough for free delivery and then their is Subscribe & Save which is free and normally quicker than I expect.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
I always get my items on time but they always leave it with a neighbour as I'm slow to answer the door (wheelchair user). We have live in a secure building and I have a cupboard beside my front door but they never leave things there even though it's my designated safe space - drives me honkers as my neighbour has a newborn baby!0

.
Nope its next day delivery as long as you order in time , there is a countdown clock, as long as you order by that time it should be delivered next day.0 -
Delivery turned up yesterday about 6:30 pm - looks like it was a small hiccup that it failed to be delivered on Wednesday, Amazon have given me 1 month free prime to compensate, although when asked what the "external factors" that caused the delivery to fail where, they couldn't answer.
It's put me off prime slightly but I'll order something else shortly and see if it does indeed turn up "next day", giving them the benefit of the doubt as obviously mistakes to happen from time to time.0 -

Do you think theres a reason Amazon dont use the term next day?Prime now includes access to over a million songs and hundreds of playlists, ad-free. Also enjoy unlimited One-Day delivery, unlimited streaming of thousands of movies and TV shows, unlimited photo storage and access to Kindle books.0 -
Also enjoy unlimited One-Day delivery
yup from loading the van , to delivery takes one day0 -

I've pointed this out to you on at least two previous occasions.
If something is to be delivered in one day, it will necessarily be delivered the next day.
Why you persist in trying to make a distinction where none exists I cannot imagine.
This is what the Amazon site has to say about 'one day' delivery:
If you place your order with One-Day Delivery, depending on the time of day that you place your order, if in stock it'll be dispatched that same day and delivered the next day.
Is there any chance you can that that on board and stop making these incorrect and unhelpful post every time the subject comes up?There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Yup,however as many Prime users have found.
Amazon often use methods that dont fit that aim.0 -
I was intrigued to have a very small item sent Amazon Logistics today, having expected RM, will see what happens.
I'm Prime and order a bulk item every other month which comes DPD, will be very disappointed if that changes to AL.
Won't stop me buying that item due to being so infrequent but in general hate 12h+ delivery slots with a passion, and do everything possible to avoid.
Even Debenhams items sent via Hermes this week provided an accurate 3/4 hour slot both times!0
