Luckily i live in an area where prime delivery is actually good.

i ordered something Saturday night, it arrived sunday morning.

Afaik, Amazon logistics is basically a collection of lots of local courier services, so its very dependant on area

I have had Amazon prime for years , and its been great , since the change over , i get items delivered between 9pm and 10pm.

I will refuse to accept a parcel beyond 10pm from now on.

I may even consider cancelling prime and buying elswhere.

As a quick update, I received an email this morning advising the item was out for delivery, however tracking shows "returned to Amazon" and "Declined delivery", which is fair play given they issued a full refund.

But still, as someone new to prime, having 2 out of the 3 deliveries I've ordered fail to materialise "next day" due to failures with Amazon Logistics is very off putting. These have all been ordered well before the cut off times, and received notification from Amazon they would be delivered on the intended day, only to wait till 9 pm at night and not have them turn up.

A pretty common theme seems to be "delay in delivery due to external factors" as shown in the screenshot below being reported a few mins prior to 9 pm (which as far as I'm aware is the cut off time) - I suspect this is the driver finishing his shift/reporting back to Amazon what has/hasn't been delivered.

Interestingly with this 2nd failed delivery, I actually had 2 parcels, as the order had been split into two separate deliveries by Amazon (likely due to coming from different warehouses).

Both deliveries showed loaded onto the van for delivery at 11:23 am, but when the driver turned up he stated that the 2nd delivery was not on his van and would turn up later, which of course never happened.

I understand Amazon Logistics is fairly new, but from looking on Twitter (purely just searching for "Amazon Logistics" to be neutral with my search) all I can see is people moaning about next day deliveries not turning up, so this seems to be a fairly common problem.

I've canceled my prime membership (although I still have it until January thanks to the free month they gave me after the 1st failed delivery).

I will more than likely order a few small items over the coming weeks until January to see if there is any improvement, but so far I'm less than impressed.

I thought Royal Mail had attained the status for most useless, incompetent and obstructive delivery service possible, but they're starting to shine like brilliant beacons of success compared to Amazon Logstics!

Although I'm not signed up to Prime, I have had a problem with Amazon Logistics.

I decided to set up Subscribe and Save for things that I buy on a regular basis.

The items were dispatched on 16th for delivery on the 17th. Northing was delivered on 17th, and I had an email from Amazon saying there'd been an unexpected delay. They went on to say that if it wasn't delivered by 20th, they'd resend the items

Nothing was delivered by 20th, and I got another email from Amazon saying that the item was not going to be delivered due to 'unforeseen circumstances and they were going to refund me, and if I still wanted the items I'd have to reorder.

From looking at the limited tracking information available, it appears the parcel went into the Amazon Logistics depot, and never came out again.

With Subscribe and Save, the whole idea was to set it up and then forget about it until the things were delivered every 3 months or whatever. Reliability is a key to this scheme.

It's put me off so much that I've cancelled Subscribe and Save completely. I'll go back to looking out for the offers in the supermarket.

I will use Amazon again for other things, but will most likely pay more for delivery so I don't have to risk Amazon Logistics again

  • Signed up to Prime (for the free month!) Sunday evening, put through a huge order of items where I presumed I'd get Prime "next day" delivery if that was an option.

Most stuff arrived Monday - brilliant.

However, I had a further parcel today (Tuesday) of three items, one of which is clearly marked as a Prime despatch item on the website. Should I complain that it didn't arrive on Monday with the others? There's no logical reason why it should have taken the additional day ...

What date did Amazon say it would arrive? If something is having to be sourced from one of their European warehouses it will take a few days longer than items coming from a UK warehouse.

Check your order on the Amazon website if it's showing that the order was late then definitely get in touch.

Actually there is a logical reason. Every item sent under Prime has a cut off point for next day delivery, and this varies. For one item it could be 12pm for another 9pm. So if you order after the cut off it will not arrive the next day but be despatched the next day.

As you mention ordering in the evening I'd guess you missed the next day cut off for those items.

Generally item pages and checkout are clear if you take the time to read them.

I'd suggest going back to the item pages that didn't arrive on Monday and locate the next day cut off time.

Just a heads up - there is no actual set cut off time it will depend on a variety of factors, it could shw as order before 2pm one day and 6pm the next day.

I got in touch with Amazon. After checking the details, they apologised for the late despatch and compensated me.

    It's not Yodel.

Amazon still use Yodel to deliver some parcels.

Amazon Logistics left my parcel on the front door step at some point this evening...

...must have been before it started to rain, quite heavily going by the roads.

Thankfully the items were wrapped up in plastic, as the box was completely destroyed when I picked it up, wet right through
