Warning on ellelouisee.co.uk

Hi All,
I wanted to share my experience with the website ellelouisee .co.uk so no-one else suffers the same fate. This is a very official looking online shoe retailer, "Official Distribition Partner of Dr Marten Shoes". I ordered a pair of DMs for £73, was overcharged £78 and 2 weeks later received a counterfeit pair of Gucci branded shoes from China, unboxed (nothing like what I ordered). Upon seeking a refund, the broken English respondent finally offered me a 10% refund by way of resolution. I've contacted the Official Dr. Martens website who confirmed ellelouisee.co.uk is not an official partner and they have had other complaints, their legal team is taking action. Thankfully I purchased on a credit card, who are currently investigating, but clearly this website is a scam set up to haggle on refund value. AVOID and stick to the official site or Schuh (who were fantastic)!
Thanks

The website is obviously not a UK one. The grammar and spelling give it away. It's always best to check out the website before parting with any money.0

Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.0

It was a very professional looking site and appeared to be legit and UK based but when the boots I ordered arrived from China they were rubbish.
I got no answer to any emails and the credit card company refunded My money.0 -
Just because the website ends in .co.uk does not necessarily mean it is based in the UK. Even Amazon.co.uk is based in Luxembourg.0
