Debenhams 10p Plastic Bags
1st ever post so pardon me if its in the wrong place. I purchased a Long Winter Coat for my wife in Debenhams. At the checkout, the assistant asked me if I needed a bag to which I agreed to buy. The assistant then informed me that the plastic bag cost was 10p. I asked if this was correct as I thought it was 5p. The reply…

Meter readers
My grouse of the moment is at meter readers who just turn up and insist on reading your gas meter, which is in the house, even though you say it's inconvenient and you wish to submit your readings online. Before the one, who came today, started the argument about it being mandatory to check the meter, I reminded him that I…

Not so quality street
So I brought a tub of them in to work today just to be nice and now I have opened them there is only 1 green triangle in the whole tub. Not impressed as they're me favourite.

Please & Thank You
Don't people use these expressions any more? I'm an avid user of Freecycle/Freegle etc., and whenever I've posted a Want, I always say "Please" in my ad. This is so obviously lacking in the majority of Want ads. If somebody cannot say "Please", even if I have the item they want, then I don't respond to them. Whenever I've…

UK Mail are liars
The tracking for a parcel I was expecting yesterday showed as "Delayed". Today there is no mention of the delay and it shows as "Delivery Attempted" at 16.37 yesterday. That is a blatant lie. I hope the eBay seller understands when he gets a negative because of his agents.

Tesco Direct later deliveries
Ordered some items 5/11 for delivery next day to store. One of the three items gets delivered next day, good. I get communication that the others will be delayed to 10/11, not great. On 10/11 at 11pm, I get comunication that the items will be delivered 17/11, what?! I know they're busy, but that's a bit ridiculous really.…

DVLA - Praise
I have just bought a personal plate from the DVLA website. I was dreading the process as I imagined a long drawn out affair with delays and documents going missing in the post etc, but I have to say I was (extremely) pleasantly surprised. I bought the plate on-line last Tuesday, received the certificate of entitlement…

'Anarchy'doing it wrong?
You don't need street riots etc to cause Social Unrest.I'm sure they have infiltrated B.T. and nearly all utility and public services. Having moved home one month ago, advising all my suppliers,electricity/gas/telephone,internet/water/sewage/council tax etc.etc. I am still trying to get any sense out of all of them. Haven't…

The Gas Superstore
I have just purchased a tumble dryer from this company and cannot praise them enough. The price they quoted was way cheaper than any other company for that model and next day delivery was free of charge. I could have specified any day to suit me for this. The driver texted me with a three hour window for delivery then rang…

British Complaining!
I am on Holiday in a lovely Hotel where the Staff are eager to help with any queries. I cannot believe how many British people are complaining when the Spanish people do not always understand every word they utter. How many of us can speak a second language?

wearing a poppy
Just a vent really, I was at the local cenotaph today paying my respects to those who fought in the great wars to give us our freedom. When on 2 separate occasions I was given a verbal dressing down for not wearing a poppy. I have my own opinions on the poppy and choose not to wear it, I would never dream of criticising…

Parcel2Go stolen item
I had returned a QC20 I bought on Ebay to the seller anneplai2015 in the US via Impact Express on Parcel2Go. I returned the box via the LG Phone repair box to avoid it getting damaged. I had lost the ear buds and accessories, but they don't cost that much. However, apparently the seller is claiming said she got an empty…

NHS Referrals
What crazy system is this? Saw Dr early July, eventually decided to refer me to specialist clinic, had several tests, and they referred me to the hospital on 15th October. I get a letter from them today 5th November, telling me to contact NHS Referrals for a hospital appointment. I have just phoned them to be told they…

Tesco would not match 25% off 6 bottles of wine
Sainsburys currently have a promotion of 25% off 6 or more bottles of wine. I went to Tesco and chose Mcguingans Red wine which was exactly the same brand as Sainsburys and was priced as 2 bottles for £10 This meant with the 25% of 6 bottles it works out as £3.75 a bottle. However despite Tesco's large publicity that they…
