Been asked about this by a friend and can't quite make up my mind on whether this is a legitimate cryto-currency trading account or whether it is a scam. Any thoughts?

1. Introduction Welcome to this thread. I continually edit the first few posts of this thread to keep it up-to-date. Finding decent IFA without word of mouth?
Hi I've always thought the best way to find out a 'contractor' is to use a combination of trusted reviews, word of mouth and finalising it with a taste test (like meeting a builder before pressing ahead). Anyway, in the last few years I used word of mouth to find an IFA, a private pension adviser and two mortgage brokers…

Fidelity - taxing interest outside ISA?
DH holds some cash in his Fidelity Cash Management Account to pay the fees on his S&S ISA. This earns some interest. However, they also appear to be deducting tax from the interest at source, rather than paying it gross. It's only pennies, but I thought all interest is paid gross these days. DH is well within any tax from…

Santander Easy Access Saver - What to do with it?
What are peoples plans once the rate drops on this account on 20th May. Move the money out, obviously ;) But what of the account itself, especially if you opted for annual interest (Like i did) Will you leave a £ in and then just wait for the interest to be credited, at the anniversary (Sept for me), in the (vain) hope…

Personal Investment plan Tax liability on cashing in
We have a joint Halifax (Scottish Widows) PIP. Its a managed income fund paying us a quarterly income (small). It was taken out in 2010 with £100k invested. It has never given us the income suggested at point of sale, and we are considering cutting our losses and cashing it in. Its worth at the moment circa £92k. We were…

Santander Edge Saver
Hi all, I opened a Santander Edge Current Account (no direct debits to avoid paying the monthly fee) and the attached Edge Saver on 7th April. I was expecting my first interest payment yesterday but haven’t received it yet. The interest payment on my 5.2% Easy Saver arrived as normal. Before I contact them just thought I’d…

Inflation, Interest Rates, yield curves, instant vs fixed rate savings & gilts
Sharp fall in inflation today to 3.4% & IIUC expected to fall further over the next couple of months as the energy cap reduction takes effect. Despite the slightly hawkish rhetoric from the MPC I think it's unfathomable that they'll keep rates high for much longer. I think they'll cut soon and in at least 0.5% chunks. My…

Trouble opening Zopa account
Zopa won't let me open an account - because I already have one! Many years ago I had a Zopa account, finished with it, thought it was closed. Now I want to open an ISA with Zopa. Went to register for an account, Zopa said I appear to already have an account, please log in, if you don't remember the password click…

Ferranti International Plc shares
I've recently come across a share certificate for 1000 ordinary shares in Ferranti International Plc which I purchased in 1990 and had totally forgotten about. According to Companies House Ferranti Int. Plc. ceased trading earlier this year but I believe there were one or more buy-outs in the intervening period. I moved…

RCI bank not in MSE 2 year accounts
The RCI bank 2 year fixed savings account at 5.05% is not in the MSE top accounts list. Does anyone know if there is a reason for this. Also I note that there a quite a few threads from a few years ago where people were dissatisfied with the account opening procedures and communication. Is there anyone who has opened an…

Early Transfer of Fixed Rate Cash ISAs. Sensible?
I've been reviewing my wife and I's cash ISAs and note that we have a few fixed-rate ISAs with low interest rates (eg, 1.2% and 2.1%). We are obviously locked into these for a while yet, but, given the number of cash ISAs with much better interest rates around at the moment, I am thinking about ending these early and…

Selling Vanguard Funds on IWeb?
Would anyone know how selling Vanguard funds on IWeb works around when the sale is priced and when the funds are typically available to re-invest please? Opting out of SERPS
I have recently looked at my pension forecast where it confirmed that I did indeed opt out of Serps. However, I have no idea where this pot is held. The company I worked for at the time went into liquidation and I don’t know what happened to the fund. Or indeed, where it was held. How do I trace where this pot is.

Top Easy Access acs Ranked: Top of The Pots - **No Chat**
I've had a few suggestions/requests to start a separate 'No Chat' thread, as the ToTP list gets drowned in 'chat' in the 'Top EA discussion' thread. Notice Accounts
I can't see any dedicated thread for Notice Accounts, so here we go. General Discussion and Whimsical Banter
It was only a matter of time. Personally I've never minded the off-topic comments in the main threads to discuss top easy access and regular savings accounts, but I can see it's becoming a greater problem given that there just isn't a whole lot going on in the top end of the savings accounts market right now and possibly…
