Cash ISA Transfer (T212 to Chip)
I initiated an ISA transfer from T212 yesterday and the balance immediately disappeared from my T212 account. It hasn’t yet been credited to my Chip account, which is understand is normal. However, do I still earn interest whilst the transfer is in process? If so, is it paid at the T212 rate of interest or the Chip rate?

Reeves' ISA review
Will be interesting to see what comes of this. Potentially restricting the amount of cash one can hold in an ISA or reducing the cash ISA allowance to just £4k. I think its important to try demystify some of the (often incorrect) concerns about investing, so that these potential change(s) actually encourage more people to…

ISA and savings help please
Hi - I will soon get a lump sum from my public sector pension, partial retirement - around £75,000. I have never had such an amount of money in my life so could someone please guide me what to do with it please? I will use around £16k for house updates so that leaves £60,000. I am quite risk averse and would like to always…

Good growth in stocks and shares ISA - trying to "crystallise" the growth
I've got a Trading 212 stocks and shares ISA that's grown about 17% since May. I realise after a response I got on here to a post ages ago that if I take the £5K approx growth out and put it in the building society I'm not really preserving that £5K as the remainder of my ISA could drop in value and I'd only really be…

Cash ISA Renewal
My cash ISA is up for renewal after 18 months. I am advised by the bank the ISA will be renewed at a rate of 1.1% which I consider to be extremely low in the current financial climate. Not sure if there are many finance houses who are accepting transfers in at reasonable rates I already have maxed current year ISA…

36... LISA the way forward for first home?
Hi, I have been battling debt for many years. I finally got the majority of my cards paid off, and I'm now looking to move forward with buying my first home. I recently got married, and there is a small amount of residual debt from the wedding expenses, which I am paying off. Alongside paying this off, I also want to start…

FSCS protection and ringfencing.
Hello, I'm new to money saving and looking for a good ISA. I have seen the Plum Cash ISA with 4.45% AER. This ISA has 3.04% base rate protected by the FSCS safety scheme and the 1.33% not protected by FSCS but is 'ringfenced'. Can someone explain the safety behind getting this ISA? Does the FSCS protection mean in the case…

S&S ISA or 5 Year Fixed Cash ISA
I'm looking to give my daughter £20K to put into a ISA as funding towards school fees when my 5 year old granddaughter reaches her 11th birthday. I was looking at Castle Trust Bank, 5 year Fixed Cash ISA at 4.22%. I have thought but not seriously considered the Vanguard LifeStrategy 20 fund as an alternative. Has anyone…

Student loan
My daughter has taken out a student loan for £9000 because she was going to move out of the home and rent but has not been able too so is staying at home. Would it be worth putting the 9k into a life ISA so she can potentially have a deposit for a place once she graduates and has a job?

Trading 212 - bonuses not accepted
I used an MSE link when I opened a cash ISA with Trading 212 just weeks back. After the account had been opened for just a short time I realised that they were *not* paying the bonus stated in the MSE letter. I queried this with T212 and they told me that I opened the account while no bonuses were on offer - despite using…

Transferring a Cash ISA
Am I the only one who feel how unsecured the system to transfer a cash ISA is? So I have a cash ISA with Lloyds that matured. Looked around and found a good rate with Tesco. Open the ISA and requested the details to transfer. Received a letter with some forms. They are asking to post to them some forms which include my…

My son is turning 18 next month and has used his Junior ISA allowance for 25/26. When he is 18 does he get the full adult allowance of 20k for the remainder of 25/26 or does he need to wait for the 26/27 tax year to invest?

Can I transfer a partial amount from a matured ISA to a new one?
Hi all, newbie here. I've been reading so much lately and using the info on ISAs that my head is spinning slightly. I need to make a decision asap and wondered if you could clarify something for me? I have a recently (end Sept) matured fixed ISA with Lloyds containing around £53k (at 5.37%, sob!). I will shortly be moving…

Should I use Equiniti to sell shares?
I have a few low value stock holdings (EX Building Society
conversions to PLC status) on the Equiniti.com platform that I plan to sell off. Their fees appear very high. E.G. They are quoting a fee of £40
for one holding with a market value of £480. Is that reasonable?
