Junior ISAs
My son has set up a Junior ISA for his child and I now want to put money into this ISA as their grandmother. I understand that I can't put the money in directly. Only via my son. My understanding was that once the parent has opened the ISA then anyone can pay into it. This doesn't seem to be the case. What if my son were…

Is an ISA without photo ID possible?
I opened an ISA a couple of years ago. It was really simple. All I was asked for was details of a bank account and my NI number. It was with Saga (best rate at the time) and they are no longer offering ISAs to new customers. My husband wants to open one and we tried a couple of those recommended on MSE but the first…

HSBC issues with transferring in ISA
I have opened the new HSBC Fixed Rate Cash ISA and asked to transfer in my Nationwide Cash ISA. For some unknown reason, HSBC haven't been able to transfer this yet and don't know why. I pointed out the 15-day window has passed and complained. Please note that Nationwide confirmed they did receive the transfer request but…

ISA interest
I've opened a new fixed rate ISA with HSBC. My existing ISA is still sitting with Virgin Money at a useless rate. HSBC still haven't transferred it in even though it matured on 24th April. Am I merrily losing interest on HSBC 4.5% due to their incompetence?

ISA transfer gone into 2026/2027
I made a bank transfer from my current account into an opened ISA on the 3rd April, but noticed that it's not showing on the account until the 7th, making it a 2026/2027 ISA. I've been in touch and they say that they only process transfers during working hours. I thought this would go instantly into the account, at least…

Plum App - Create Account
I've been attempting to create an account for a Plum ISA using the App for about three days. The first step is to enter your mobile number and enter a verification code sent via SMS which never arrives. The help suggests the usual things regarding mobile reception and entering the mobile number without leading zero. The…

Transferring cash ISA from the PO to HSBC
I can't use the HSBC transfer-in form because it's demanding a 12 digit roll number and the Post Office only have 10 character, alphanumeric roll numbers. Each is blaming the other for the issue. This is despite the PO being listed as one of the institutions for which HSBC's online form is applicable. There's clearly…
