Bank not accepting ISA transfer
Hi there Can anyone help with this please...? I'm trying to transfer an ISA from Tembo to Synergy, but Tembo says they don't accept transfers in from Tembo - they didn't say why. Can they do this? I assume they can choose who they want to accept money from, but I've never transferred from Tembo before, so wasn't sure if…

Also the heading of the email text said my fixed rate ISA was maturing? I rang NBS and an advisor said I just had to transfer to a new Double,Access account and could…

Virgin Reject ISA Transfer
I requested Shawbrook Bank to transfer my Virgin ISA into their 4.31% 1yr fix. I heard back today from Shawbrook that the transfer has been refused. Contacted Virgin and the explanation given is that Shawbrook have sent the request to the wrong ISA Virgin team. Apparently it depends on what sort code is on your Virgin ISA.…

Nationwide fixed ISA maturity
This ISA matures at the end of September ie after the next BoE meeting. If I select a new fixed ISA with them it is 3.8% (whatever the term) and as with most maturity scenarios that rate, if chosen now, would be honoured even if the rates reduce between now and then. So a known 3.8% Obviously it is currently possible to…

Choosing a platform
Thanks for all the replies about what to do with my active managed funds/ S&S ISA. In the past week I thought I had achieved 'financial freedom' and then realised not yet (maybe another discussion). So I need to follow through with my plan on my 29 active managed funds with Aegon chosen by my ex IFA. With the transfer out…

They are offering 3.8% which we are happy with. They are both fixed rate. We would like to add some to the amount notwithstanding the…

Free Trade stocks and shares basic account
It looks like the free trade basic account doesn't attract any fees, similar to Trading 212 and Invest Engine. I wondered why in the information on the MSE site it says it's £5.99 a month, that is one of the paid for plans, but there is a basic plan that seems to be free, unless I missing something?

Chip ISA Transfers Out
Just a heads up. Like many people, my Chip ISA promo is ending and the standard rate is uncompetitive. The leading alternative that also gives a good rate for transfers in is currently Cynergy Online ISA Issue 56 at 4.35% However, they can't accept Chip Transfers as Chip don't use the BACS system! The next best seems to be…

Indexed Linked National Savings Certificates
Anyone still have these? Mine is near maturity in a few days time. Looking at the amount of interest generated i'm not sure i'm going to renew. The option of early 'cash in early' is gone.
