New First Time Buyer ISA to replace LISA
As promised in last year's Budget, a consultation has been launched to discuss a new product for first time buyers, to replace the Lifetime ISA. Initial impressions are that it's broadly similar to the Help To Buy ISA, in terms of the bonus being added at property purchase time, and therefore no withdrawal penalties before…

Chip smart cash ISA not giving correct interest
Transferred my cash ISA to chip's smart cash ISA last month as my interest rate went down with moneybox after 1 year. Rate I've got on chip's smart cash ISA is 4.45%. transfer date: 27th July, ~£67700. first interest paid: 14th aug (£40.46). it also apparently shows how much interest I will earn and is showing me a sum of…

Hargreaves Lansdown Cash ISA (Powered by Shawbrook) 4.3% AER
Just a word of warning for anyone considering opening this particular Cash ISA with Hargreaves Lansdown. I opened this very ISA in Feburary which at the time was paying 4.3% AER. In the short time since they have already dropped the rate 3 times. In May they dropped it to 4.01%. In June they dropped it again to 3.73% and…

Can I transfer maturing ISA into a new ISA same company?
Me again - asking a question for my husband. He opened a cash ISA a few weeks ago depositing the max amount possible from a lump sum received. He already had a cash ISA with the same company (Virgin) which was 1yr fixed rate and matures next week! We were both under the impression that if it was fixed rate 1 year ISA you…

Chip Financial Smart Cash ISA
Does anyone have experience of transferring ISA investments away from this new Chip Financial product? They don't give you a sort code and account number and it's therefore turning into an impossibility to transfer my investment away and into Charter Savings.

Cash ISA + Cash Lifetime ISA Limits from 6 April 2027
From 6 April 2027 onwards: Can I put £12,000 in a Cash ISA + £4,000 in a Cash Lifetime ISA. Total £16,000? Does money put into a Cash Lifetime count towards the £12,000 limit on Cash ISA's? Are Cash Lifetime ISA's separate to the Cash ISA Limit of £12,000?

Kent Reliance - is this ethical?
New to this so please bear with:) Last year I signed up to a 3 year Fixed ISA with Kent Reliance. The terms clearly stated that I could add (up to the ISA allowance) each year. I only chose this account for this reason (as most fixed ISAs only allow you to credit them when you open them). Anyhow Kent Reliance have decided…

With a ISA transfer for delayed transfers (i.e. only transfer upon maturity), what should the maturity date be for the new account, if its a 1yr fixed? Background: Recently a relative applied to transfer an ISA which was maturing within a month to an new provider, which offered a competition 1yr fixed rate ISA. They called…

Flexible Cash ISA - opening second one with new provider - what counts as this year’s allowance?
I have a flexible cash ISA with Halifax but am looking to transfer £15k of the existing balance into a flexible ISA with another provider to get a better interest rate. The new provider ISA doesn’t do ISA transfers so I will be withdrawing £15k from my Halifax ISA and paying into the new ISA, and as such I realise the…

Can I upgrade my ISA product with the same provider, if I live abroad ?
Hi there I have had an ISA account with Santander since 2009 but moved to Cyprus 10 years ago from the U.K I appreciate that I not allowed to make additional yearly contributions, but wanted to know if I am allowed to switch from and Easy Acess Cash ISA to a relatively better fixed rate ISA which currently has a 4.5%…

Tembo lowering my LISA rate to 3.55%
Just had an e-mail saying my rate is going down from 3.8% to 3.55% - really disappointing given that interest rates are generally holding or going up. I remember being warned about becoming beholden to a bank because of a lack of competition with LISAs. I hope the new help to buy ISA is simple enough that most banks offer…
