I’ve got an ISA with Tradding 212 and it is a flexible cash ISA. i paid in (almost) £20,000 at the start of this tax year and transferred in another £60k held in previous ISAs so the total balance is around £80k. if I withdraw the £20k I put in this year and then transfer the remainder over to another cash ISA provider (to…

Tembo ISA - Transfer/Allowance confusion
I recently opened a Tembo Easy Access ISA, made a deposit and also arranged for a transfer from a previous provider (NS&I). The transfer was worth approx £3.3k. I now see that my "used allowance" in Tembo is equal to my deposit plus £1100, and I don't understand where this £1100 usage has come from. Seems too much of a…

Lloyds Bank ISA
My 81 year old mum does not do online banking and this won't change, she wants to manage things in a branch with some human interaction. She currently has the best part of £30k sat in her Club Lloyds current account earning pretty much no interest on most of it. She has a local branch of Lloyds and their website says you…

Moneybox Cash ISA interest due
I just opened a Moneybox Cash ISA account and the transfer in from another Cash ISA account was completed the same day. However a day later, the 'interest due' and 'today's interest' still appears as £0. Do you know why that is? I thought they showed you interest accrued on a daily basis even if thst interest hasn't been…

Plum ISA - confused about interest
I opened a PLUM ISA on April 07th at a preferential rate of 5.92% for three months on the advice of MSE, with a note in the diary to ditch and switch after the increased rate expired. However, I've just logged in to see how things are looking there, and have discovered that: * The interest accrued is only about £80 for two…

Rapid ISA transfer
I must admit - I'm impressed. Earlier this month I opened an ISA with Vanquis requesting a transfer from a maturing Virgin ISA. That ISA matured today and the transfer had been completed by this evening - I'm not sure when exactly. Just a bit of good news for a change.

Transferring from a Non-Flexible ISA to a Flexible ISA
I have a Virgin fixed-rate ISA maturing at the end of this month. I've not had any comms from Virgin yet on the options at maturity, but it looks like they don't (currently) provide any Flexible ISAs. I need access to these funds for a period of time later this year. If I transfer the ISA to a new or existing flexible ISA…

Virgin Fixed ISA terms depend on your sort code
May be useful for some - easily missed I think. If your isa has sort code starting 08 you have 30 days to pay in but sort codes starting 05 or 82 only 14 days

Partners wanting to make a 1st time property purchase.
Martin's podcast of 3July 25 indicates that 2 partners, both having a LISA, can both get bonus when buying jointly a 1st time property. (Assuming of course they meet property value requirements.) If one has a HTB ISA and the other a LISA - is this still the case; what if they both have a HTB ISA - again, does this dual…

Natwest Fixed rate ISA Annual 2023
Hi there, I opened a Fixed Rate ISA Annual 4th August 2023, interest rate 5.7%. Interest paid 28th March 2024. I had expected the remaining interest to be paid by now, but hasn't, and the interest rate on the app is still showing as 5.7% which I'd expected to have dropped. Can anyone enlighten me??

Maturing ISA Questions - Tax charged on interested earned when moved to another account
Hello folks, Hubby and I each put £20k into fixed-rate cashISAs last year which have now matured. We want to transfer the £20k into different ISAs with better rates for this year, and access the interest we have earned on it. I have two main related issues I would love some clarity on. 1) The longer-term implications of…
