Anyone know which financial institutions allow the transfer of an ISA to the surviving spouse of a departed ISA holder, ,, Many don't allow this but I believe quite a few do ??? Thanks

Such arrangements aren't literally 'transfers' as such but the surviving spouse receives an Additional Permitted Subscription equal to the deceased's ISA value(s).
The subject of which institutions handle these comes up on here semi-regularly, in threads such as:

Here are two : Lloyds, Santender, but there are many more. First check with the bank which holds the ISA as that may be easier to complete the paperwork. The rates are pretty poor however. Once you have opened an ISA using the APS, you can then transfer it into your own ISA, or a new one you choose to open with any provider.
If you use Moneyfacts and click on Further details, it should show you whenther a particular ISA accepts APS.1
