Last minute ISA deposit
Asking for a friend I'm helping out. Are there any providers that are quick and easy to deposit into this late stage? Doesn't matter if it's cash or stocks and shares. They've finally understood the concept of use it or lose it and so now want to deposit anywhere! Most we've tried had a cut off earlier than today but if…

Drawing from which tax year?
If I have £20k in an ISA 2025-2026, and I add £20k to it in 2026-2027, then draw out £10k, which tax year am I drawing out from? With Moneybox and tempted to transfer another £20k next week, but is there a way to tell which year you draw from? Thanks

Cash ISA help - transferring money from Halifax ISA to BOS ISA
In April 2025 my husband opened a new fixed cash ISA with Bank of Scotland as it had a good rate (I think it was either 4.5% or 5./5%) and the plan was to put £18k in there. The reason we wanted another cash ISA was a) as the money needed to be kept separate b) to benefit from the good interest rate. By mistake though he…

New to Vanquis ?
Are Vanquis somewhat OTT when it comes to ‘New’ customers? Yesterday, I was helping my OH arrange a transfer from a maturing Moneybox ISA to the Vanquis current 1 year fix. The online application seemed straightforward enough, but moments after completion an Email arrived asking for documents relating to ‘Proof of identity…

What would you do with your £20k
I have £20k to invest on Monday when the new ISA tax year begins. I’m unsure whether to put it in my existing Shawbrook 5.22% 5yr cash ISA (this will be year 4) with a guaranteed return in 2028 when it matures, or open a stocks & shares ISA taking advantage of the current market whilst it’s down. I don’t have any real…

If a company goes bust?
Hi, so for example, I pay in £20k for the 2025-2026 tax year with Plum. Plum goes bust next month and I make a claim for that £20k and get it back. Have I lost my 2025-2026 ISA allowance? Thanks

Cash ISA tactics for the new tax year ?
With talk of interest rate rises I'm just wondering what others are doing regarding their 2026-27 cash ISA deposits. I was thinking of depositing in a flexible ISA and, if there is a significant rate rise, I would transfer the cash to the higher rate account. Now , if there was a higher rate account that didn't allow…

Current Cash ISA
I've probably left it too late for this year but have funds in a cash isa which I've just discovered is only 2.75% (I opened it a few years ago). Presumably it's too late to open a fixed cash isa with another provider for this year?

Opening new Vanquis ISA
I want to open a new 1 year fixed rate ISA with Vanquis solely for the purpose of transferring a maturing ISA from another provider. I have also funded another ISA this year. The first question in the application is "Have you already opened an ISA in this tax year?". Truthfully answering "yes" to this brings up the…

ISA easy access advise
I currently have 27k in my Trading 212 easy access cash ISA at an interest rate of 3.6%. I'm sure there are some better deals out there but it still needs to be an instant/easy access account as I have just put my flat on the market so will need access to quite a chunk of it at some stage. Any advice greatly appreciated 😊

The New ISA Rules from 2026
Hello all! I have a question about the new ISA rules coming into effect 2026/27. I understand we will be limited to saving just £12,000 per year. What happens if you already have £40,000 in your ISA (from years of saving) and need to keep transferring it to a new ISA at the end of every fixed ISA period? Will we be allowed…

Moneybox to Prosper before April 6th?
Is there time to transfer my Moneybox ISA funds to my personal account and then fund a new Prosper ISA before April 6th? Meaning I can then add another £20k next week? Not sure it's worth the risk as things may not be instant with the bank holidays. Thanks

Nationwide fixed rate isa matures on the 6th
I was given the option to reinvest to another fixed rate between 1 to 5 yrs. Got a bit stuck on the form when I have to put tax year 2026 -2027. Was told it is not a new subscription and should be able to contribute to a new ISA. Is that right? Thanks

Hmrc self assessment point 6 & ISA interest?
Hi, Not sure of I have to do self assessment again this year, or for 2024-2025, or even if I have the correct year for when I need a self assessment for. BUT in any case, point 6 of the "do I need to self assess" questionaire mentions additional income. If I am using my normal savings and easy access cash ISA interest to…

Lloyds isa change?
I think Lloyds might have changed their terms about adding money throughout the tax year to a fixed term isa "You need to deposit £500 or more within 30 days of opening the account. After the 30 days are up, you won’t be able to make any more deposits"

flexible cash ISA: does withdrawn money count towards allowance?
Hi, I have a flexible cash ISA into which I have deposited 6000£ this tax year, and subsequently withdrawn £2000. If I wish to put this £2000 into a different cash ISA owned by a different provider (because the interest rate is better), does it count twice towards my allowance? In other words, have I used up £6000 or £8000…
