ISAs after death
I currently have around £110k in cash ISAs increasing every month with compounding interest. I have no plans to dip into this money until I retire in around 3 years time. I also intend to max out each yearly ISA allowance up until then, so I should have in the region of £180k-£190k in tax free ISA savings (if Rachel Reeves…

Quick ISA question - how long is the 'year'?
Will be opening an ISA at the end of next month - there are some which give a 'bonus' rate for a year of an extra 1% or so, but I guess this question relates to all ISAs - if I open it and put the money in at the very start of July is the money tied into the account for a calendar year or until the start of the next…

Trading 212 Cash ISA transfer in process
Is it straight forward and swift, or fraught with unnecessary headaches? I need to find a better rate asap. Been putting it off far too long!

Well done Principality Building Society.
Credit due. Popped over to my local branch of Principality on Weds to fill out a transfer form from RBS to Principality. I got up this morning, and all the funds have been moved over and in the account. Well done to them. 👍

ISAs and Special Needs
Hi folks Not sure whether this is the right forum or whether I should be asking in the Disability Forum but I'm trying here first. My son (32) is severely autistic, non-verbal and has learning difficulties. His dad, my OH is his legal guardian in financial and health matters. My son has a moderate amount of money in a…

Help To Buy Isa
Hi I am looking for some advice regarding the no longer available H2BI. Both my adult kids have the full amount invested and it's sat there waiting for the time they can afford to buy a place but like many others find that with the limit outside of London being £250K this means they won't qualify for any bonus as despite…

New Santander ISA funding
I’ve got an ISA maturing at the end of May and I’m looking
at moving all the funds into a new Santander 2-year fixed option. I hope this would
qualify for the £50 incentive as the total will be in excess of £15000. What I’m trying to establish is; 1) Can I open the new ISA now and start funding it
with ‘new money’, then at…

Additional Permitted Subscription ISA
I was looking for information about this today and landed on a discussion which was dated 2020. Fortunately did not act on the advice without checking as I have been advised by NatWest that the advice is incorrect now as they say HMRC does not allow an APS to be transferred to a new provider.

Chip ISA and unexplained account changes
I’ve had a Chip ISA since 24/25. I made a deposit and it failed, tried 3 more times and all failed, likely a poor internet connection. Attempt 5 worked; funds showing in Chip, confirmation email arrived. Couple of days later the funds had still not left my bank account but were showing in chip. Then say 3 they vanished…

Hoping someone here may be able to suggest something.I am trying to open a Kent Reliance easy access ISA by transfer from Aldermore. Kent wants an 8 digit account number. A warning message really to anyone who has just opened a Chip ISA and thought they were using the best newbie promotion code available according to the Chip in-app advice! I opened a Chip account on 19th May where the app advised the best booster rate was 4.85%. The following day - 20th May - they released a new booster…

Transferring Cash ISA from Zopa to Trading212
I opened a new Cash ISA on Trading 212 in April and requested that they transfer my previous Cash ISA from Zopa (which contains about 40K). It's been more than 3 weeks (including a couple of bank holidays to give them their due) and it still hasn't migrated across to T212. Is this normal or are T212 swamped with similar…

Cash ISA transfer - sanity check
I’m having a bit of a ding-dong with YBS over a cash ISA transfer into them. It’s a partial transfer (allowed by the old provider), with the transfer amount being well below the amount accrued from previous years, and well above the amount I deposited this year into the old ISA. I have asked that the transfer should only…

Will my LISA receive Financial Services Protection above £85k
I’m wondering (and I’m a good few years away from being in this situation) but what happens when my LISA reaches £85k+? Will the entire amount be protected under the financial services protection or just the first £85k and therefore is it worth putting money into a second one whilst I’m still young enough to pay into a…

Vanguard compounding vs £85k safety
I have for 5 years used my full £20k ISA allowance which has matured now to about £125k in a couple of Vanguard S&S ISA's. Am now hesitant to add my 25/26 allowance as I'm now getting above the safety net of £85k FSCS. Should I be concerned and start using another institution or should I continue compounding with Vanguard.…

Loanpad drop in interest rates
As a result of the Bank of England reduction, we are announcing a small reduction of 0.1% to our rates with effect from 02 June 2025, as follows: Classic / ISA Classic 5.10% Premium / ISA Premium 6.10% I suppose you could say a .1% reduction as a result of a .25% reduction in BOE base rate is a softening of the blow. There…
