Property Asset and LISA
I'm already named on some property deeds - although I didn't buy the property and it's never been my home (it was gifted to me). Will this mean I won't qualify for the 25% bonus from my LISA when I buy my first home?

Daughter about to inherit some money
Hi. My 21 year old daughter is due to inherit @£60k this month from a trust fund. Would anyone have any suggestions on how best to invest it. She already has a few thousand in standard cash ISAs and a few thousand in savings. She is very good with money. The money was always intended as a deposit for a first house and…

Cash ISA - Trading 212
I picked this account as it was the best rate shown on the MSE website. I opened the account and intended transferring money to the account from my HSBC account. I was asked whether I wanted to use its "Truelayer System" (recommended) or via my bank app. I chose the former and after inputting my account number I was asked…

Help to Buy ISA - Stick or Twist?
Hello All, I am a 50+ year young person ;) and have never had a mortgage. I do not have a regular income but have in total a reasonable amount of savings. Included in my savings is a Help to Buy ISA which I started with optimism many years ago. I haven't added to it for the last few years because I have found better…

Quick query
I transferred funds from an old ISA into a new ISA. The funds transferred are made up of £10,000 from 24/25 and £2,000 from 25/26. Presumably I have £18,000 left to deposit in a ISA for 25/26?

Never understood it
I would love to start an ISA but have no idea how to do so and what benefits I get from this. Where is the best place to open an ISA where I'm getting the most out of it? How much realistically can be made from it for the future?

Increase pension or Stocks and shares ISA?
I'm 58 and don't have much of a pension tbh - maybe 12 years worth of company pension at say, £130 (ers and ees) premium a month. So it's there but the bare minimum. I have disposable cash due to a new job and would like to save a regular amount for maybe, 5 years. Would I be better opening a low risk stocks and shares isa…

Can't transfer ISA from Monument Bank to Castle Trust Bank
Has anyone else had issues transferring their ISA from Monument or to Castle Trust? Both me and my husband are having issues and both banks are blaming each other. Castle Trust are saying that Monument keep rejecting the transfer request and Monument are saying that they have not received any requests. I don't know who to…

Query re bereavement and ISA allowances please
My wife, who passed away from cancer just under 3 weeks ago, had a range of Stocks & Shares and Cash ISAs from a variety of providers from previous tax years but had not contributed to a new ISA this tax year. I think I more or less understand the regulations affecting 'Additional Permitted Subscriptions' but would welcome…

Higher rate taxpayer husband putting savings into wifes account
Hello. As Above. Some of the family are in that situation, IE, our son's work and are higher rate taxpayers and their wives have not worked for years. One pays 45% paye and other pays 45% paye and I think savings at higher rates over 500 pounds attracts 40% tax.

What ISA post Chip bonus rate?
I used my 2025/26 ISA allowance to put 20k into Chip's ISA and now the rate is about to drop to 4.06%, so I'm looking for alternatives. I already have a Trading 212 ISA at 4.3% so transferring the cash into there is an option. However, I'm looking at two other options with a fixed or much higher rate: * Cynergy Bank 4.35%…

JISA after 18
Hi I've been saving into an S&S JISA (originally a CTF) for the last 18 years or so in Charles Stanley Direct, and then a few weeks ago the account disappeared from my app. Of course, he had turned 18. Trouble is I wasn't going to give him the account until he turned 21. So I rang CS but they explained the account was now…

Lloyds & my daughter's JISA money
I know the title sounds far fetched but this is true and I don’t know what to do. I opened a JISA for my daughter in 2016. At the time we lived in the UK. We moved to Australia in 2020 and left the account dormant. My daughter has turned 18. She wrote to Lloyds asking to close the account and transfer the funds to her…
