New Virgin Flexi 3 Isa
Hi, I have got a Flexi 3 Virgin account from last year (24/25). I have not contributed to an Isa this year yet. Does anyone know if I can pay into this account for the new tax year, or would I have to open a completely new Isa. I would like to be able to keep last years and this years money in one account. Have tried using…

Which company offers low minimum monthly investments?

Reeves' ISA review
Will be interesting to see what comes of this. Potentially restricting the amount of cash one can hold in an ISA or reducing the cash ISA allowance to just £4k. I think its important to try demystify some of the (often incorrect) concerns about investing, so that these potential change(s) actually encourage more people to…

Thoughts on Tembo
Was attracted to their rate and possibility of doing an ISA transfer, so opened a Cash ISA and deposited a test £10. 1. The transfer offer was then halted. 2. Tried a test withdrawal to see how fast funds come back, and the only option it gave was withdraw everything and close account. 3. Tried querying this with customer…

virgin 1 yr exclusive flexi
Hi, I have a virgin 1 yr exclusive flexi. It was funded in Feb 2024. So I guessed it has now matured. Virgin has sent me an email saying the interest rate dropped to 4.1% in May. This is still a good rate. Shall I leave the cash in there? Also, this is called a "Flexi" account, what does that mean? MSE says that a flexible…

Starting with Stocks & Shares ISA - which platform?
So I have decided I need to start saving in S&S ISA. I'm happy where I am on the mortgage and my pension so I want to start building S&S ISA. The plan is that it could be used to bridge retiring at 50-55 vs. when I can access my pension in the ideal world. I'm currently late 30s so I have 15+ years of long term growth…

Transferring Loyalty ISA into Fixed Cash ISA when used allowance already
My Fixed Cash Isa matured into a Loyalty ISA with HSBC. I then added another 20k for this years tax allowance into the Loyalty ISA and I then wanted to transfer the Loyalty ISA into a Fixed Cash ISA. However, HSBC are saying that because I paid my allowance for this year into the Loyalty ISA, I am unable to open a new…

Is transfer a withdrawal?
Hello folks. I have an existing ISA, the balance of which is a bit over the £85K threshold, and I'd like to transfer some of that into a new ISA that I've opened for the 25/26 tax year. The existing account is a fixed rate ISA. Would a partial transfer out be allowed, or would that count as a withdrawal?

Cash ISA maturing in August - leave now or wait?
Hi, I have a Virgin Cash ISA paying 4.47% interest maturing on the 24th August and I can't decide whether to leave now and pay the 60 days interest charge (about £90) or wait until the 24th August? Are rates likely to be lower than now in August? Thanks Paul

Cash ISA providers who allow partial transfers out?
Hi everyone, can anyone recommend a cash ISA provider that allows partial transfers out? I have £40k in a Zopa Smart ISA, £20k of this deposited this tax year. They only allow transfers out in full. I'd love to be able to move this to another provider, and then transfer it in £10k chunks to Santander fixed cash ISA's in…

Rate Cuts 2025 'Crystal Ball'
Question, just looking myself at moving ISA's due to rate cuts but also did I dream it or did Martin Lewis say recently (maybe on GMB this week?) that we should look to move to a fixed rate that is lower than what is currently on offer with the easy access type accounts as the indications are that the base rate will…

Another ISA muddle, sorry!

Tembo Cash ISA - do I lose a couple of days interest on the amount I pay in each time I do it?
Hi everyone Can somebody help me understand something with Tembo please? So they don't use sort code or account number, so we have to pull the money in through their app. These payments take 1-2 working days to clear, does this mean I lose the interest on that amount for a couple of days (or potentially 4 days if I make…

JISA transfers.
My daughter has 50k in a junior cash ISA. We’d like to use some of it to open a junior stocks and shares ISA. We found a provider who was happy to accept a partial transfer in but the provider where the cash ISA is would not allow a partial transfer out. Why is this? I can find no legislation forbidding it. How and why do…
