I'm moving home shortly having saved for past few years and can now start to funnel more into savings. I have a bit more than a year's take home pay in a cash ISA and have just increased my pension contributions, so short and long term savings are sorted and I want something a bit more medium term now so am considering a…

I am baffled with the transfer of my existing cash ISA. On 9 May 2025 Shawbrook has accepted my application to transfer out from Natwest ISA (exp 29 May 2025). On 9 May 2025 (standard) email from Natwest to say that my ISA will be transferred to one of their lower rate cash ISA account. On 29 May 2025 as mentioned above.…

Additional Permitted Subscription - Inherited cash ISA
My father died in February this year, leaving everything to my mother (they were married for over 70 years). His estate included a cash ISA with over £100,000 in it. It was held with the Nationwide BS. My mother (age 92) attended the Building Society and advised that she wished to keep the money in a cash ISA. She was told…

Easy Access ISA Question
I currently have an easy access cash ISA with Kent Reliance which pays interest annually rather than monthly. What happens regarding interest if the ISA funds are transferred before 12 months have elapsed? I've never dealt with easy access before - I usually opt for fixed rate hence my ignorance.

Wealthify down?
Good morning all, Tried logging into the app, it shows an error message akin to "we can't log you in, your connection isn't secure. Please retry." Retrying does nothing. Tried to log in via the website Wealthify.com, website doesn't load and seems offline. Anyone know what's going on? My recent experience with them has…

I already have a one year fixed ISA for the maximum £20000 with Virgin opened this tax year. Would taking up the offer of the one year fixed ISA Maturity Option-transferring £20000…

Cash ISAs
I currently have a very old Cash ISA to the value of £20,000 and the interest rate is pretty poor. I also have another fixed term ISA that is coming close to full term and would like to know if I can transfer the money from both into to a new Cash ISA and add more money to it. Any advise would be welcome

Part transfer 2 ISAs to a new ISA
Hi - I have 2 ISAs that mature this November. The additional interest will take them over £85k so I thought I'd move money from them both to get below the FSCS limit. I was wondering if you are able to open a new ISA by transferring in from 2 different ISAs or do I have to open 2 different ISAs and then transfer to each…

Reeves' ISA review
Will be interesting to see what comes of this. Potentially restricting the amount of cash one can hold in an ISA or reducing the cash ISA allowance to just £4k. I think its important to try demystify some of the (often incorrect) concerns about investing, so that these potential change(s) actually encourage more people to…

Bed and ISA - loss in trading account carried forward to use against future gain?
Hello everyone, As part of Bed and ISA strategy, I am going to sell shares worth of £15,000 in trading account and then buy back in ISA account. HSBC New money v Old money
An old relative opened an HSBC ISA up using new 25/26 money last week, not realising they had their 24/25 HSBC ISA maturing a few days on - which has now matured into a lowly 2% ish rate easy account money. I said maybe go back and get them to find a way to combine the 2 into one as it'll be in the cooling off period.…

Trading 212 - now showing "replaceable funds" separately
I complained to Trading 212 a while back that the way they display your remaining ISA allowance is misleading. Credit where credit's due - they have now separated out your "replaceable funds", i.e. previous years' funds that you have withdrawn, and this is shown separately from your used/remaining ISA allowance for the…

Plum app cash ISA
I might be showing my age but I just opened a cash ISA on the Plum app. The app shows the cash in my account, but I have no account number or any other personal details. It feels a bit odd not to have something tangible to connect myself to the money. Is that just how it is nowadays? Please tell me I've nothing to worry…
