Transfer out Trading 212 cash ISA

Hi, I'd like to transfer out my T212 cash ISA and had two questions.

1) Does anyone know which cash ISA providers can do the transfer digitally, ie where I wouldn't be required to download a paper form and request it by post?

2) I recently tried it with Charter Savings bank but they insist on a sort code which T212 don't provide. What do I need to enter in this case?

Thank you

  • Shouldn't your first concern be that the terms of your new ISA are better than those that you have rather than the actual mechanism for making the transfer?

Yes indeed but I'd still like to know the above queries in the first instance.

Thanks. Unfortunately not, 212 isn't on their list of providers.

It is very rare that a paper form would be required, although it is still the right of the original provider to request a wet signature (not something likely of T212).

All zeroes is an option. Another is the sort code of T212's client money account (used for inward FP to your account). It's really a question of what Charter would accept, given T212 will likely ignore whatever you enter.
  • Have you tried just using just the roll/reference as some providers accept this without account and sort code? At the moment I am doing a transfer out from T212 cash ISA and the new provider PDF form says skip to roll/reference if I don't have account and sort code. I have sent the form over via email to them and waiting to hear back if there were any issues with the form and sent to T212.

Thank you, I'll try this. Can I ask which provider it is? Doing it via email would be preferable to post.

    Aldermore.

Shawbrook is another provider that can accept transfer form over email which I did few months back to do a full transfer out of Tembo. I had to requested a form via their online messaging, fill it in and sent it to them.
