IG's £200 Cashback when you invest £200

Hi. Does anyone know if I would still get the £200 back if I deposited the money into IG but did not buy S&S or ETFs? I've already deposited the money and am now feeling extremely overwhelmed having to choose what to buy. I've only ever invested through a platform so wasn't expecting the billboard of flashing lights. If I can just deposit it, then how do I get it out again after July. A rookie error I know.

If you download the IG Invest app it is for beginners I found it easier and simpler to understand.

I opened a S&S account using the MSE code at around the cut-off time of 2:30. I bought some shares within minutes. How do I know if I've qualified for the offer?

I bought 1 Vodaphone share, which cost me £1.15. I've had an email confirming I will qualify for the deposit match if I keep this share or make further investments during the qualifying period.

Hi all. Was expecting my £200 cashback yesterday (30th July) and it didn't materialise. Tried the whatsap ai chat which was a waste of time, so phoned them. Spent quite a while on hold.

Was told that it wasn't sorted yet, they were in the process of compiling a list of eligible accounts, and that it would be several days before it would be paid.

Anyone else get their £200 on time?
