LACK OF FIBRE PROVIDERS ON THE COMPARE BROADBAND DEALS PAGE
I have recently had a doorstep visit from Connect Fibre regarding their deals yet find no information about them on the site, yet they look to have a lot of good reviews on trustpilot. They also do not come up on a search for best Broadband in my area on the compare broadband deals page of this site. Why is this?

Experiences of Moving from BT to EE
I am with BT broadband and received an email offering me a faster speed for a slightly cheaper price than my current deal. I phoned up and they told me that they had an EE deal that was even cheaper. This was on Friday and the new router arrived over the weekend. I haven’t yet unboxed it.i have since looked online and have…

TIP: You're entitled to a FREE battery backup for your router if you have no mobile signal
When the phone companies took away landlines, they were supposed to ensure you have access to emergency services in a power cut. That means if you live in an area with no/poor mobile signal, they have to give you a battery backup to keep your router on long enough for you to report the power cut/call 99 etc. If you call BT…

Virgin Media Installation - Broadband
Hey I have just entered into a contract with Virgin using a BF deal. They sent me a video about the installation, but only AFTER I had pulled the trigger. Now I am a bit nervous! Background is I have had FTTP installed in my road, up to the kerb. As I understand it, that is not the end of the story and there is more work…

Just received an email from my broadband provider TalkTalk today 21st July that as from 30th June I've been 'selected' to be transferred to Utility Warehouse where I will 'benefit' from extended services to customers across the UK. The email states that beyond award-winning services, Utility Warehouse helps customers save…

We have a line fault, so no landline and 3mbps internet speed. Anyway it turns out Talk Talk have migrated my account to UW, without telling their own tech support. Next I…

Will a Smart plug work inside a metal box?
AFTER it has been programmed? Ie, once the timings have been set up using the App, are they then stored in the plug so carry on regardless? Scenario is, outdoor wall-mounted metal cupboard housing double power socket. I want to use one for Chrimbo light, and be timed. Smart sockets are as cheap as digital timers - and are…

Utility Warehouse take over my TalkTalk broadband contract and raise the price
I was on a TalkTalk Broadband 24-month fixed-price contract (well, the price goes up by £3 every April, but otherwise fixed.) TalkTalk recently transferred this to Utility Warehouse, who are charging me £5 more per month. Can they do this? I signed up for a certain price. I can see nothing in the TalkTalk smallprint about…

Switching FTTC providers, work required?

I was thinking of switching providers to simply pay less, £14 a month instead of the current £38 The speed we get is modest and I know i can get FTTP for around £25 and it's a lot faster but the speed is sufficient at the moment. The only reason I want to…

Advice about Virgin cancellation following bereavement
Hello all, Hoping someone here can help please. Sadly my husband died recently and I still haven't updated our Virgin broadband only contract. Switch to Community Fibre and use Premitel for voip?
Hi, I want to maintain a landline just for incoming calls from elderlies (no outgoing.) This being so it's not worth paying for the Community Fibre calls-included voip package, and I wonder if it's possible to use an independent voip provider with Community Fibre, either by using the CF router, or another router? Thank you.
