Changing ISP from TalkTalk to BT early.
My TalkTalk broadband contract is coming to an end at the end of next month. I have made a request that I do not wish to renew the contract. I have found a much better deal with BT. Is it possible to go ahead with setting up the BT broadband while the TalkTalk contract is still active? Currently the TalkTalk broadband is a Part Fibre connection while the BT broadband is full fibre, if that makes a difference.

The services are delivered over different physical cabling so no reason why the new FTTP couldn't be set up before the TalkTalk copper service ends.
Couple of caveats -
Do you want to be paying for two services during the overlap?
Are you intending to move a landline number to BT? That might complicate an early implementation.

I don’t mind paying the TalkTalk contract until it expires. I do not use the phone, so it's not needed.

Just go ahead and request the new service from BT, if you use the One Touch Switch process then that should end the TalkTalk service for you and TT will send you a final bill.

The failure of Talk Talk and the BT takeover of its business, (subject to regulatory approval etc ) doesn’t stop you changing provider to BT or anyone else, if you want to keep your telephone number , a regular migration, signing up with BT and letting them arrange everything, including installation of FTTP if that’s available, is the best way to proceed.
If you want to have BT FTTP in and working (with no phone service or a different phone number ) before you cease your Talk Talk service, you would need to point that out when you order (the system is designed to tie in both the old and new providers with the same date so having both working at the she time is more expensive and isn’t as easy to arrange)
If your TT service minimum term expires in around 6 weeks , migration early may raise a little early termination charge, if you want to avoid that , order with BT in a week to 10 days time , and specify the date you want , however if there is a problem getting the FTTP service installed, the dates may slip anyway .

As BT is taking over talktalk and the deal is going through quickly the supply method is going to have to be honoured for a while at least.
Not sure what it will mean in the long term as I have about another 9 mts on my contract and I'm on copper so it might be worth keeping an eye on how supply is going to be provided. At the expense of the company or the customer.
I'd be inclined to take the deal if it's a good one. Give yourself some peace of mind. As we have yet to see what will happen, what contracts may be available.

I have had other providers suggest they will pay off X amount of a contract as a join us promotion.
In theory you are in contract with TT, which if you leave early there may be cancellation fee - Id suggest it will be small as you're at the end of the contract, they may just wave it (depending on how long youve been with them)
