Sign up with NTL or Tiscali, or stick with BT?
Apologies if this has been posted before, I've had trouble finding this information anywhere. I currently use BT as my phone provider, but route the vast majority of calls through 1899, by programming numbers into the phone so I don't have to remember to dial the prefix. I'm planning to buy a PC soon, and subscribe to a…

Cancelling a CPS
Haven't signed up yet for Primus to benefit from their free calls as I was wondering how easy it is, or not, to cancel should their prices shoot up. Is it easy and fool proof to do?

Todays conversation with BT

I wasn't totally sure that I understood what was infront of me as it said I had a credit of £198.50 after my most recent bill had been paid. I decided to give BT a call and dealt with two really helpful individuals.…

Also posted on the Utilities Thread ##This advice is good for any annoying sales type phone calls made from the UK## Over the past week for some unknown reason I have been cold called via the British Gas 'automated dialling' service almost daily. Hi, I wondered if there is anyone else like me out there. I subscribed to Talk Talk over a year ago and was on the free evening and weekend package. Freestyle 2500
I'm not sure if this is being posted in the right place. Sorry if not. I have a Freestyle 2500, but unfortunately I think the instructions must have got mixed up with the Xmas rubbish and I can't find them. The Freestyle 2500 is not listed on BT's online site of instructions for download; they say I can get a booklet…

BT Option 2 Offer
I'd appreciate some thoughts from others on this board. I'm currently with Onetel (line rental and calls) and don't plan to stick around for things in the new TT world! This means I'll have to shift my line rental and my call provider. I'm considering the current BT Option 2 deal. BT Option2 Offer Deal is £11pm including…

First Telecom - caller ID won't work!
First Telecom (cheap service provider that provide a dialler box that works with NTL/Telewest as well as BT) may claim that their free box doesn't affect your phone line, but be aware that functions such as Caller-ID / Caller Display simply don't work! I emailed their support and they had the cheek to tell me that if i…
