Haven't signed up yet for Primus to benefit from their free calls as I was wondering how easy it is, or not, to cancel should their prices shoot up. Is it easy and fool proof to do?

it takes about 10/14 days to change to a cps such as primus and the same to change back to BT .Very easy to do .I used to use BT then went to onetel .Onetel was a disaster I went back to BT .Then went to Talk Talk .One phone call each time was all it took .0

Thanks. That's good to hear as someone had told me it was a nightmare to do.0

if you use a CPS such as primus you can still make calls via BT (provided you pay your line rental to BT ) Dial 1280 followed by the number you want your call will be charged by BT .very useful if you have BT privacy / free caller display .0

Even if you CPS your calls to Primus Saver you can still use other suppliers like 1899,18185 .Should their been a change in pricing etc.In fact at peak rate and to me destinations tour find them cheaper then Primus.PF.0

if you are already using a CPS can you move directly to another CPS or do you need to go via BT0

The 'receiving CPS' does the work - you just phone them and they'll deal with the rest.
AIUI, the new CPS contacts BT, and BT tell them who the current CPS is [if any] and make the necessary arrangements at the exchange.
I changed from OneTel to Primus in December and it took just one call to Primus.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Hi, if you with one CPS provider and want to leave them,as said above you can either 1280 but that overide to BT and move expensive calls OR if your new cps provider re-cps that knock off the orignal providerTell it as it should be....0
