best reward credit card that is easy to reconcile
Hello, I'm looking for a recommendation for a reward/cashback credit card which is really easy to reconcile with receipts. APR is not an issue as we pay off in full each month. We have been using sainsburys bank for all household spending to max rewards, but you cant download the statement easily to excel which i normally…

Barclaycard Rewards
You keep saying it does not charge you when abroad and paying in euros and it does!! It never used to but they stopped that service months ago and the cash back! The Halifax one is still ok. So please change your recommendations or people will get caught out with a 2.99% charge and their transactions! Roger

Barclaycard - Minimum payment reduction.
On applying for a new balance transfer B/card the minimum monthly repayment is currently quoted at 3.75%. I know there is a planned reduction to 1% due to take effect from 22nd July and that existing cardholders received emails in April(?) notifying them of the reduction. I phoned their C/Services this morning to confirm…

Not eligible for a credit card on this site
I’ve just checked my eligibility for the Halifax Clarity CC on this site and been informed I am not eligible for it, yet when I go straight to the Halifax bank website and input my details they offer the exact same card with no problems, even with a higher credit limit than I had asked for, how can this be, and has anyone…

Lloyds app - Issue with viewing credit card
Hi Is anyone else having problems viewing credit card transactions on the app? Mine seem to be stored on a pdf only, whereas previously I could quickly check them all, just like I do on my normal accounts. I've been through the useless customer service, Advisor clearly had no clue and just advised clearing cache, then…

Refused credit limit increase
Hello, I was trying to get an increase in my credit limit and I was declined with the reason being "you recently took out a payday loan or short term loan" Finding this odd as I have never taken out a loan (except mortgage) I did a credit check and found out that my phone contract includes 24 x £8 listed as a loan on my…

Next Store Account Nor showing interest rate Next.co.uk
Hi, Hopefully I have posted in the correct place as this is a store account question rather than a credit card one. Do store card / account statements need to display the interest rate that you are being charged? I can not see it anywhere on my next.co.uk accounts and it says I should get in touch.... TBH I thought I was…

Monzo declined transaction
Bought something on a TUI flight last week using Monzo and now I'm getting notifications that it has been declined as it wasn't done with chip and pin. The flight attendant took my card, tapped it on the reader and handed me the receipt. There's no way of authorising the payment and I've left the money in the account in…

Balances
Do balances on credit cards or any credit you have on your report affect ability to get future credit or does it not matter as long as your paying the minimum payments and sticking to the terms, I know it costs more etc with interest but purely want to know if it affects a lenders decision, I mean if all the balances was…

Settling old debts
If a dca can’t locate a credit agreement for a credit card debt that’s been with them for 20 years and is therefore currently not enforceable (as per their reply), even though I’ve been paying them £5 p/mth for 10 years is that the end of it, can I stop paying the £5, can they still chase me? The debt is also not showing…

MBNA Misinformation
Before anyone starts, I am not seeking compensation, purely want to engage in conversation about the topic and see people's thoughts. I couldn't see any balance transfer offers on my MBNA app yesterday, not surprising given my credit record. Thought I'd just ask on live chat to customer services how often these get…

Amex cashback scenario question
Hopefully some helpful member(s) can advise on the following. I have £75 (ish) accrued cashback on the Everday Cashback Credit Card due to be paid late July. We are very unlikely to use these cards in the next month or two and I just wondered how Amex will action the refund if the balance due is less than this amount at…

Complaint to CC company - compensation mentioned
Hi all, I applied for a new 0% credit card on 28th March. Received confirmation of the application immediately and was advised I would hear within 5 days whether I'm approved. I went via MSE and did a pre-approval check so was fairly confident I'd be accepted as I have an excellent credit score, never miss payments etc. 5…

0% transfer options
I currently have about 11,000 spread across two credit cards and Next. And would like to transfer to a 0% balance transfer card. The eligibility checker on here looks promising, but it doesnt tell me what the limit will be? Also, has anyone done a balance transfer with a nextpay account? - is that possible?

Virgin credit card switch
I have a Virgin credit card with the 20+ months free balance transfer etc but now think one of the travel cards with points will actually be more useful….will Virgin allow me to switch it or will I need another card / allocation? If so can you have 2 cards and is there a minimum period to wait before applying for card 2?

Nationwide Member CC - Do you keep it if you close your only other account?
Over the course of this year I envisage I will switch away my Nationwide current account for a bonus. Whilst being a customer and "member" I opened a credit card and am benefitting from an interest free period. Does anybody know whether switching away my current account would impact me holding the card, as I understand I…

We have two current credit cards (Vanquis and Barclaycard) in my wife's name, and a loan from Zopa in my name. We are able afford the payments, and have been paying slightly more than the minimum on the credit cards.
