I got a fire stick for xmas, and then got a tv upgrade - Sony KDL-50W807C Smart 3D Full HD TV (Android TV, X-Reality Pro, Motionflow XR 800 Hz, Wi-Fi and NFC) Any idea if there is any point in setting up the firestick for this tv or does the tv already do it all? Just wondering if to resell of pass the stick on?

Any good Freeview HD PVRs around?
I cancelled Sky a couple of weeks ago. I have a PS3 for catch up/on demand. Would like a straightforward Freeview HD PVR. I have been through the models on Humax Direct and read the reviews and most of the PVRs seem to have some kind of issue with them. Is there any PVR you guys could recommend?

Switching to BT / Freeview from Sky
I'm planning to leave Sky and switch to BT for broadband and TV. I did an online check and it says I can receive "over 30 channels" via freeview, which doesn't sound a lot. However, BT assure me that most of their premium and Sports channels are received via my broadband, so this is ok if true. Also my broadband speed is…

Not sure what package to take
Hi My minimum term contract expires next month on my Sky Variety package. I stupidly took up the 25% offer on 19 March and after posting on here on another thread and after getting advice decided it was a bad deal. I was paying £36 a month reduced to £27 when I took up the 25% discount. Ive cancelled the package totally…

LoveFilm by post
I came on here to find out if anyone else using Lovefilm by post has had an email telling them it's going up to £11.99 a month in February, I currently pay £4 a month, so that's an outrageous 200% increase! Can they do this? Has anyone spoken to them and got it back down to a more reasonable price? I am going to phone them…

BT Ultra HD Sport on non UHD TV
I recently got BT TV with their new Ultra HD receiver (along with BB). I have an old (10 year) plasma TV that I know is not 4K / UHD and so never expected to receive BT Ultra HD sport in UHD. However is there anybody out there in the same situation (non UHD TV) who also has a BT Ultra HD receiver who can still watch the BT…

NOW TV - Kids TV
Going on from another thread that I started. How does NOW TV work? Do I need an aerial? I only want it for the kids' channels, specially Disney and Nick Junior. From their website, I can see it has some of the programmes from these channels, but it doesn't say it actually has these channels. Plus, I went as far as the…

Best multi-room tv, broadband, phone package
I have Talktalk Youview (plus a Sky movies boost) TV, unlimited phone and broadband package, but they don't do multi-room TV. I now need to watch different tv channels in different rooms. What is the best provider for this? Thanks.

NOW TV - Entertainment passes
I'm thinking of getting a Now TV box but have a query about the passes. I see the standard price for a monthly Entertainment pass is £6.99 but what's to stop you from buying a monthly pass on Ebay for 99p (there are numerous entries at that price on there) every month?

Getting a better deal from Sky
I'm currently undecided about whether to cancel Sky completely or try and get a better deal with them. Currently I have the Sky Variety bundle and HD paying £41.25 per month (due to increase to £44 soon) which seems a pretty high price considering I rarely watch tv (the missus watches it a lot more than me). I would watch…

Alternative to Sky or Virgin
Morning! I'm moving house soon to an area that doesn't yet have virgin media and we're not allowed to put a dish up. We currently have the family bundle on sky with sports. Could anyone recommend a suitable alternative please? We also have phone and broadband with sky as well. TIA

Can I give away my Now TV Box?
I'm sorry, this is probably a really stupid question but I couldn't find the answer on their website. I have a NOW TV box that I don't use anymore (obviously the subscription has been cancelled), I was wondering if someone else can use it or if it's only the person that buys it? Was going to pop it into the charity shop if…

SKY TV Channel Audit
Hi All, I recently read on this website about Increase charges on Sky TV. But they also mentioned that we can save money by doing a channel audit. I already get a discount on Original Package. My question is If I ask them to remove the channels that I don't watch, are they going to charge me less monthly? Thanks

Sky Q - what will it give me (and cost)?
All very confusing.... Currently got a box in living room which we always run out of space to. This is wired then to the bedroom. We've also got another box (multiroom) in spare bedroom wired to another bedroom. Problems at the moment are:- 1. We're always running out of disk space. 2. You can only watch/record two things…

Freesat from Sky question.
Looking here it seems you can make a one off payment but how long does the payment last? In the small print it seems Sky can switch off the card and demand another payment. Is this correct?

Virgin cancellation charge
One of my daughters has a contract with Virgin for broadband and TV. She has just moved house, to an address where Virgin does not provide a service. In spite of them not having coverage to my daughter's new house, they are insisting that she pays a contract cancellation charge of £240!! They have said to her that she…
