Hi, I have purchased programs from the bbc store which you are then required to stream or download via iplayer. Will I need a licence to watch these programs from September?
Should I get them downloaded and saved offline now while using the iplayer does not need a licence?

I suspect if it's purchased content then no licence would be needed (is it actually delivered by the iplayer or another program)0

I strongly suspect not, as BBC Worldwide is a commercial entity, but it would be best to ask them directly -

The law is changing.
From 1 September 2016 you will need to be covered by a TV Licence to download or watch BBC programmes on demand, including catch up TV, on BBC iPlayer. This applies to any device and provider you use.
Don't forget, you still need a TV Licence to watch or record programmes on any channel as they are being shown on TV or live on an online TV service.
So, if you already have a TV Licence on 1 September, you’re already covered. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
