Moving to new build - sky and what else?
We are moving to a new build next month, larger house, mum is joining us and will have her own living room. We already have sky multiroom and I presume we will take this with us to new house, one for main living room, one for kids upstairs. Rather than add another sky box on for mother, I thought it might be wasted on her.…

Rooftop aerial to loft?
I had a rooftop aerial fitted at my parents house, this was for use while we have been saving to purchase our first home. We are now due to move in to our new home on Friday 26th February. What I'm wondering is if I can take it down and fit it in my lift at my new house? Not sure if it's a different aerial required or not…

TV license, empty house, do we tell them?
Hi everyone There is a house in the family that has been inherited and is currently in the process of being completely refurbished (won't be complete until into next year sometime). We've just found a letter from TV licensing addressed to the "present occupier" and the address printed on it (hidden under some dust sheets,…

Massive Sky savings
Hi folks New to the forum, but felt like I'd share my experiences today after watching Martin on TV this morning. First I used the MSE energy comparison to save £500 a year on my gas and electric. Being spurred on by this I decided to see if I could get my Sky bill down. I've been paying £62.50 for a family package with…

Kids Channels
I'd be quite happy with Freeview and this is what I will be putting the kitchen and (maybe) my kids' bedrooms. But they like Disney Junior and Nick Jr quite a bit (and Cbeebies, but this this is on Freeview?). I don't want the millions channels that also come with Sky in order to get the kids' channels. is there a cheaper…

TalkTalk Sky Sports discount
Hi all, Forgive me if this has already been posted! I've just had a look at my TalkTalk account, specifically what TV offers were available. Having seen that the Sky Sports and Movies package is £20 (half price) for six months - £10 less than my current £30 Sky Sports only package, decided to cancel and take up the offer.…

Sky and no Freeview/TV
Hi, I have been trying to do comparisons to change my TV, broadband and phone package from sky. Whilst doing this it has become evident that when sky did their initial installation they cut the lead from our terrestrial tv aerial, is this normal? Because of this I am lacking the confidence to bluff Sky into a better price…

I think I'd like Netflix
I have a tv without the internet, connected by a HDMI cable to a sky box, which has a little Internet box so sky can download. I recently reduced my sky package to the basic package. But I've heard Netflix is only £7 a month for films & series box sets. I do have a talktalk youview box I've never used. I'm thinking I could…

A way to watch old movies on TV - NOT online?
Turns out my 90-something year-old Grandmother on the brilliant and not at all selfish advice of my uncle, has been paying about £75 a month for a Sky subscription with broadband for the last 3 years. She does not know how to use the internet, in fact she didn't even know she had it, and the only thing she watches on Sky…

Sony Manufacturer's Warranty
Hi This is my first post, so please forgive me if I've got anything wrong. I bought a second hand Sony TV from an auction house in the north on the 15th Jan 2016 which has a company contract with a very major high street retailer, since they name the retailer on their auction titles (JL). I rang Sony to ask if the the tv…

What's a 'good price' for sky?
Ive been on the same sky package for over 10 years. I don't have sky plus (but would like it), no multiroom, no movies and no sport. I also don't have phone/broadband I want to try and negotiate with them as friends have had big reductions or other bits added in for free but I have no idea what's a good price!

Two weeks until Sky can fix my system
I've had no sky TV since Sunday as not getting a satellite signal to any of my boxes, the earliest sky can send an engineer is 15/2/16. I think this is totally unacceptable, who in this day and age can wait over two weeks to watch tv? We have Netflix and my son can watch skygo on his Xbox but I'm not going to sit and watch…

Android/Kodi Box Recommendations ?
Has anyone bought a Android/Kodi box lately ? Was thinking of a Android box over a Firestick as I've a external Hard Drive I'll probably plug in, I'm thinking of a Firestick for the bedroom TV later on. Was thinking of 2GB Ram to future proof it a bit and would like it to come with a keyboard ideally. I've narrowed it down…
