Humax 4000 series
I've been looking up details of current Humax boxes as ours don't record in HD. The 4000 series has the advantage of recording up to 4 programmes at once and has Freeview play, but several reviews mention that it is not as good as older models, partly because of slow reaction to commands. Does anyone have personal…

Cheapest package for cable/phone/broadband?
Hi, First post on the forum. Has anyone any recommendations for a phone/TV/broadband package? I'm currently with Virgin, who've just advised me of a new price increase which I feel is unjustified. I'm currently paying 90 odd quid a month with charges for phone calls a very small part of this. The package I'm currently on…

After successfully reducing my Virgin broadband and phone by £6 a month and getting free caller display I though I would try my hand at reducing my Sky bill. I am currently paying Sky £28.75 a month to keep my wife happy. She watches Universal, Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, Sky Living, Fox, Alibi, Sony, Syfi and of course a lot of…

Freeview recorders / Returning to Sky from Virgin
I'm considering ditching Virgin completely and going for Sky for telephone & broadband (17MB/s). This works out at £17.40 per month for the first year and an extra £10 a month after that. It also includes a £100 prepaid MasterCard. The other part of my plan is to buy a dual tuner Freeview recorder and stick to free-to-air…

Mornin' all I haven't had tv at home for over 10 years but am thinking I might do so this winter, however I am bamboozled by all the options and would be grateful for any help. This is a rented house with no aerial but it does have a dish on the side which hasn't been used for probably 15 years. I can't get tv over the…

Price of Sky Original
What is the price of Sky Original ? At the moment, I'm paying £10 with a 50% discount and notice that when the other packages went up, in the summer, Original stayed at £20. The website still quotes £20, but the emails offering 60% off quote costs 'from £9', £9 being 40% of £22.50.

Is my partner classed as a 'New customer'?
I have had the full Sky package (inc sports & HD) for over a year and we pay around £120 a month despite not even having a home phone, living in a flat with only one output (so cannot record one channel and watch another) and having quite slow broadband (again, due to being in a block of flats). I have previously tried…
