Now TV & kids pass changes & unfair contacts

Hi.
Looking for some expert opinion on the changes driven into the entertainment package of now TV recently, which takes the kids channels currently included in the package and splits them out into a new package, effectively meaning that we now have to pay again for the same channels.
If, like me, you are on a 6 month pass that you had just activated and another waiting to be used when you received the letter you have no recourse according to the nowtv terms and conditions, as you can't cancel and get a refund.
My opinion is nowtv are in breach of the unfair terms in the consumer contracts, specifically the following:
"11.7 A term which could allow the supplier to vary what is supplied at will – rather than because of bona fide external circumstances – is unlikely to be fair even if customers have a right of cancellation and refund. The consumer should never have to choose between accepting a product that is not what was agreed, or suffering the inconvenience of unexpectedly not getting, for example, goods for which he or she may have a need, or a long-planned holiday, just because it suits the supplier not to supply what was provided"
As such, the boxes I bought specifically advertised nick &nick jr, so I see it as part of the contract.
Details as we know it currently:

This move is a purely a money spinning one. Whilst I agree with you, they unfortunately have the right to do it. All the On Demand providers (streaming services) reserve the right to change their packages and prices with 30 days notice. With you paying in advance, I would advise you ask them for a refund anyway, but I doubt you'll get very far.0

Good luck with that one...0

Actually the kids pass is not just taking the 2 channels which were on entertainment and moving them to the new pass. The Disney channel is leaving and you are getting other new channels within the kids pass that you were not getting before. Do you think it would be fair to increase the price for all customers and include those channels? Not everyone has children and therefore we don't all want to have kids TV content on the Entertainment pass. They are providing replacements for the two channels that have left to go to the Kid's pass (one is coming in September). It is of course debatable whether these are good replacements.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

No, they did not.
That's the problem. Given 4 months 'free' kids pass, but I paid for it for 12 months in advance, so I will need to pay again for the same channels that I've already paid for.
I don't care about the extra new channel's,, thats why I have BBC iPlayer etc, but my kids wanted peppa pig, which I can only get on nick jr.0 -
Hi Wolfsbane. There are 52 episodes of Peppa Pig currently available on the Milkshake player (via a YouView box). It may well be worth checking the online version, which is available to all for free.0

That looks ok for £2.99 a month, might have to sign up for it for my son.0

After involving Citzens Advice and Trading standards, NowTv have offered me enough kids passes to cover my outstanding entertainment passes.
They are also under investigation for illegal terms.
I suggest anyone else who is using prepaid entertainment vouchers with NowTV who has been affected by this complain to Nowtv and the CAB.0 -
