Egg Money Card denied
Hiya, I would like to start with stoozing. A while ago (May 2008) I've tried to open an Egg Money Card but my application got denied. According to http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cards/stooze-cash-credit-cards one needs the Egg Money Card to start stoozing. I'm just wondering whether anyone knows a different card instead…

Barclaycard - 0% till April '09
I received a BT offer from Barclaycard for my OnePulse card: 0% until April '09, 2.5% handling fee via Barclaycard cheque. Will I have to pay interest on the handling fee in the following months? I paid the credit card off in full to-day as well as current statement balance, so the account is zeroed. I am expecting a…

Problems with Abbey card cashback
My Abbey card was supposed to give cashback on purchases until the end of July but after giving me £19 in May nothing appeared. When I rang to query this they said they thought it would come in a lump sum at the end of the cashback period but nothing has appeared. I put about £400 a month on this card for the cash back and…

Icelandic Banks Impact On Stoozers
Dear all MSER's and fellow stoozers, As the title goes how many of you stoozers have been affected with the problems with ICELANDIC BANKS: ICESAVE AND KE. I am one of the less fortunate to have my stooze pot with KE and Icesave. It has made a major impact if as a stoozer your stooze pots are in these institutions specially…

Stooze pot safe in ICICI???
Hi all, What with all the banks having a bit of a wobble, I was wondering whether it would be prudent to pay off my C/Card balance now, rather than wait another 2 months when my 0% deal runs out. I know the stooze pot money is safe (approx £10k) in ICICI as less than £50k...but if they went bust I imagine it would take…

Why ever pay off a card?
Hi, unless I'm missing a trick I cant see why you would ever pay off debt on a card... You've got X amount of debt on a card, your 0% deal comes to an end. There are plenty of cards offering 0% (3% fee) for 12 months on balance transfer out there. Why not just transfer, and have the additional cash in your savings account…

How long do Abbey take to send docs?
Applied for an Abbey card earlier this week... does anybody know how long they take to accept (or reject!) and send the docs out for signing?
