Negotiating the 3 % fee?
Anyone had any luck with negotiating down the BT on large balance transfers. I'm thinking specifically of transfering to a Virgin/MBNA card with 0% period. Experiences/advice appreciated.

Continued stoozing good for the banks?
With the latest interest rate cut it does look quite bad for the future of stoozing as it is now going to be difficult for people to make a profit. Smaller stoozers shouldn't have a problem for another year as alongside ISAs it should be possible to get 1 year fixed rate current accounts (A+L and Abbey having the highest…

Missed Payment
I was one day late paying my Virgin Card bill  They have already added a late payment fee of £12, will they now start adding interest on the whole balance? And if so, what's the best option to minimise fees? Pay off the full balance immediately? It's not too bad as it only had a couple more months to go anyway, so…

Can you stooze with cash-back cards?
I just wanted to know whether it was possible (or legal, even) to 'stooze' with cash-back cards? The idea is that I setup a DD to pay off the balance in full each month, but I put the money directly into my One Account. That way, I'll be saving on interest, and earning a bit of money on cash-back; so its kind of like a…

New stoozer weighing up whether to go for it
Hi guys, I've always been aware of stoozing, but never gave it a go. Just trying to decide now if its worth putting the effort into. Can you give me an idea of how much a couple with good credit histroy could expect to make/save in 2009 if you really went for it? Also how much time would you expect to it to take to achieve…

I have a 12.5K credit limit.Starting to look around for the next slow stooze card...I see that Tesco (12 months), First Direct (12 months) and marks and spencers (10 months) are at the top of the table for 0% purchase durations.I wondered if anyone had…

Stoozing, some tax reclaimable?
Something that came up when discussing ebay and the ins and outs of selling on it has got me thinking. If you sell your possessions on ebay you don't need to declare the income for tax purposes. If however you specifically buy something to sell on ebay then you need to declare your profit. Now when it comes to stoozing I…

Asda Credit - money back vouchers
Has anybody realised that Asda terms & conditions changed last year so that any money back vouchers (issued annually for Asda Stores) are now capped at a measly 300 points a year regardelss of what you spend. This means the maximum cash back is £30 which when compared to the £116.05 I received last year is very…

Using Credit Cards to pay Tax bills
I need to pay at least £10k for my tax bill in January. I have got a bit saved but obviously not enough. I was hoping to pay the rest by credit card and pay it back over say 10 months. Will it count as a cash withdrawal and therefore incur a higher rate, does the Inland Revenue even accept credit card payments and if I can…

I am stooding with my Virgin Card to offset my mortgage, nice little pot growing. He also uses it to pay back his percentage (private hire), so sometimes a large amount. Question: Can I pay off…
