Halifax tricky stuff
Halifax have 0% for ten months but this is only on spending for the first 90 days. I assume that to benefit you will have to stop spending on this card after 90 days or pay off the balance. Otherwise if you continue spending there will be an element of 0% and an element of 15%. Don't like the look of this one.

MBNA to Virgin 0% transfer - possible?
I currently have a 0% MBNA which expires next year. Would I be allowed a 0% transfer to Virgin (either direct or via a third account)? I suspect not as they are run by the same company. So second question - how long would I have to wait after cancelling the MBNA card before applying for the Virgin? Could I do it straight…

How long til I can be a new customer?
I am about to transfer a couple of balances and this will leave 2 of my cards with zero balances and then I will be transfering 2 more onto one of these if I get any B/T offers (I have always in the past when I cleared the balance) This should leave me with MINT Tesco and HSBC cards with no balance. Does anyone know how…

Egg Money- transactions timing problem?
The problem is that the transactions do not appear on tha statement in the order that they were made. To BT or not to BT now interest rate is dropping
Hi! This is my first post so I hope I've come to the right place. Last year, at the brilliant suggestion of this site, I took out an MBNA card with a 0% BT then took up their offer of a BT into my current account. This means I have roughly £4300 currently offsetting against my Woolwich mortgage. At the time I paid the 3%…

Virgin CC balance transfer to Egg money account...advice please
Hi, Want to buy a used car but didn't fancy an expensive loan. So I have recently applied for a Virgin credit card. I plan to do a balance transfer to my Egg money account (£0.00 balance at the moment). I was hoping to use Virgin's 16 month % on balance transfer deal. I pay 2.98% handling fee, but once the money is in my…

Query: 0% on purchases - does this mean I only need to pay the minimum?
Hello! I have just received a brand new card with 6 months 0% on purchases. Right now, I have spent about £2000 on the card (all on purchases). Do I have to pay off the full £2000 this month, or just the minimum repayment to avoid interest charges? I'm not sure how this all works, but from the stoozing articles I've read…

Skycard - extended 0% period
A year ago I took out a Skycard; purchases have been at 0%; my 0% period ends in March. To-day, I received a special offer: 0% Skycard cheques, which attract a one-off fee of 2.99%. The 0% period will end on 1st Dec. The fee, so I have been told, will not accrue interest. The cheques, which are valid until the end of…
