Hi,
I'm looking around for a new 0% slow stooz card. Coming towards the end of Halifax 15 months slow stooz where I got a 10K CL later increased to 12.5K
The longest duration cards now seem to be Tesco's, First Direct and Barclays (all 12 months).
Does anyone have any experience of the Credit Limits offered by these cards? I heard First direct can be a little tight. Any advice?
Also I'm thinking about balance transfering some of the credit to keep my offset mortgage topped up. Any advice on the credit limits I might get from Abbey Zero. I read that it might soon be withdrawn? Does anyone know? I already have an Ulster Gold card (3K CL).
Thanks

I've had credit limits of between £4500 and £16000 for my stoozing. Tescos gave me £4500 12 months ago, but have just given my wife £7500. MBNA, Egg and Capital one have all give me the highest credit limits. With Barclaycard, regardless of credit limit, balance transfers tend to be limited to £5000.
I have an Abbey card (although not the zero product) - credit limit on that was also low at £4500. It will depend partly on how much else you have stoozed at the time - but generous credit limits are still out there - I've just had £10,500 off Halifax even though I'm currently carrying around £25,000 credit card debt of my own, and the household debt is much higher.0 -
btw tesco's credit card is 14 months for bt's0

thanks,
I'm primarily looking for a 0% purchases slow stooz card with a big CL
I know it can't be exactly predicted and these are changable times for credit but the consesus from this and previous posts seems to be
BIG CL = MBNA, HBOS, Egg, Cap one, ?Barclays
SMALL CL = First direct, Ulster, ?tesco ?Abbey
Any comments anyone??0 -
Not sure about your comment that Tesco gives small limit.
I got the 15 mths 0% Halifax as well - probably around the same time as you got yours and they gave me only 3k, where I just applied for Tesco and they gave me 4.9K.
So if you got high limit from Halifax, Tesco might give you higher one then Halifax did.0 -
Oh, and MBNA gave me 4.5k, so my highest limit card is Tesco. Again, MBNA is on your list as high limit giving card..0

Hi,
I've read on stoozing.com that MBNA tend to be generous with CL's. I don't have any experience of Tesco, just summarising the above comments.
As a slow stoozer I guess i'm looking for big CL's and long 0% durations.
My best bet so far from the above comments seems to be Tesco's or Barclays (both 12 months 0%) than Cap one (11 months)? The other Big CL credit cards aren't doing long offers.
