Todd Kuslikis Isometrics Strength - is it a scam? Has anyone here tried it?
Hi all I stumbled across this this morning: http://www.isometricsstrength.com/?inf_contact_key=3c679cb2961c93ca78e8bf752f1496dff13a0b97ab38e257de0b31b0b1fa24f0 I'm quite new to this kind of fitness training so it is hard to assess what he's saying. But I do yoga and I love the idea of doing training without weights or…

Free walking maps online - what do you use?
Up to now I've found streetmap.co.uk useful - OS maps showing most UK footpaths with a 'where am I now' button that puts a pointer on your map showing where you are using your phone's GPS. More recently I've found http://m0.footpathmaps.com/ which is a fast to access full OS map of the UK. It's 'where am I button' only…

Gym membership, maybe?
Hi, I was wondering if people could give me a bit of advice? In June I bought a Garmin vivosmart hr, I've been getting on really well with it, since I bought it I've walked 1,519,960 steps, it says that's 673.3 miles. I've lost a few pounds, not as much as I'd like to have lost, or need to for that matter. I find myself…

How often to have swimming lessons?
I have just learned to swim. Only half a length, but hey that's more than I've been able to do for 60+ years. I am currently having lessons once a week. Would it be crazy/damaging to take a second set of lessons? All the teachers at the pool seem to teach the same way, so I doubt there would be a conflict of advice. It's…

When is running shoe sale season?
I've just run my 300th mile in my excellent but very expensive running shoes and will probably need a new pair in the next 3 - 4 months. I would be happy with the same make and model (they are like second skins). I've noticed that lots of the online running shops seem to have sales or discounts on at the moment. Can anyone…

Day 1 of the fight back.
Ouch! everything aches! 52 years old and with a gradually increasingly sedentary job, poor joints, gout, bit of rheumatism, 3 to 4 stone overweight (but stable, good diet) and the last straw now.. high blood pressure. Few years back used to be quite active, I could walk forever, I got more done, more energy. Now a flight…

Children's swimming lessons cancellation
My two children have been having regular swimming lessons, which we paid for by direct debit on a monthly basis, for two years now. The cost is nearly £70 a month and has been crippling us. They're confident swimmers so we thought we could just stop the lessons and save some money. I've just heard from the Company that we…

anyone joined in The Gym membership?
On their website it says £99 for 6 months - student offer and it sounds good so I signed up and made the payment. However, once I logged in my account, it says "Your 10 month student membership expires on the 4th July." Does anyone know how they charge people after the first 6 months? Thanks

GPS tracking watch
Hi, I am doing a lot more walking than I used to and I was thinking about getting a GPS tracking watch, I have a step counter already but I was thinking about the tracker instead. Can anyone tell me if it will give a readout of distance covered rather than steps taken? I am hoping to be able to switch it on at the start of…

Wanting to lose a beer gut
Through several years of drinking too much and not watching what I eat, I have developed a gut. I want to lose this beer gut and my partner wants to lose some weight too. I guess the question is pretty simple, what is the best way? We've started walking 2 - 3 miles a day after work at a brisk pace, and we are watching what…

Garmin Express
Can anyone help me with the Garmin Express software please: Hubby and I both have Garmin Forerunners, I upload my info all the time but hubby doesn't because he's a techno-phobe. I'm worried about connecting his watch to Garmin Express in case it syncs and adds his data to mine. (He runs a LOT faster than me and I would…

Need Advise
Looking for motivation / Advise from Gym goers I used to be a moderate gym goer and fitness concious however, owing to recent changes in circumstances in family , work I was not focussing on fitness and as a result i see that my trouser size went from 28 to 34 , find it disgraceful to see myself on mirror. I also realise…
