Looking to start a bit of exercise and want to give an exercise bike a go in our garage.
Might enjoy it, might not - hence only wanting to spend a small amount initially.

Second hand is about your only option at that point. After I had an accident my wife bought an exercise bike to help me keep up fitness whilst off the bike. She paid about £40 from the British Heart Foundation charity shop.
It's the type of thing lots of people buy and never use, they often become an expensive clothes horse. So you can get them much cheaper than retail, barely used.
I also think it's very sensible of you to not follow them and buy an expensive one before you decide if it is for you.0 -

I'm sure lots of places will take £50 as a deposit just remember to pop back back when you've got the other £450.0 -
Get one second hand as you will save a fortune and still get a quality machine as long as your prepared to travel as I managed to find a Tunturi one that was 4 years old and looked brand new for £65 and came with all the documentation including the purchase receipt showing £695.
Ebay and Gumtree are great as are charity shops, but they tend to be more expensive.0 -
We bought a Confidence exercise bike from Tesco a few months ago and I love it, use it 3 times a week. It was a bit more than your budget - about £130 on a special offer but we are really pleased with it. It comes with a basic computer so you can see how far you have cycled/how fast you are going.
From my experience you dont have to spend £500/£600 to get you started.0 -
Not sure where you're based but I'll sell you mine for £70. It would need to be collected and I'm in Glasgow.0
