Which treadmill?
Hi, I've been really lazy recently and packed on the lbs. I see to run regularly (even did a few half marathons) but then split with ex and didn't have any one to have kids so stopped running. I'm wanting to get back in to it but I'm struggling again with kids. I've tried taking them with me on a bike but it just doesn't…

Does anyone have the "Basis Peak" smartwatch/monitor?
I just wondered if anyone out there owns a Basis Peak health/fitness monitor/smart watch? Can I pick your brains for a minute? I was looking at getting a smartwatch to monitor things because I struggle with night sweats and they are a bit of an unknown when I speak to Doctors about them. I've had them since my late…

Need help and advice please.
Two weeks ago I received bad news. The bad news wasn't connected to a physical issue, but a personal problem. Unfortunately, this has had a detrimental effect on my eating habits. I just can't face food, just thinking about eating makes me feel physically sick. However I am having bits of fruit and plain crackers. I have…

Should I avoid exercise in the hours before a half-marathon?
I do the occasional half marathon, and usually finish within a few minutes of 2 hours, so I'm far from an elite athlete. I travel to most events by car or train, so don't exert myself much beforehand. There's one event which is about 4 miles from where I'm stay, and I usually walk or slowly jog to that. In that event, I…

Does anyone have any tips? I have done a couple of longer races 1/3rd Marathon and 10k, during both of those races I set PB's for the first 5k. (I then held that speed pretty much through the races) So the question is, if I can run that pace during longer races, is there anything that anyone can suggest to get the best out…

Being a bit of a fat bloke and rather unfit (get a bit puffed after walking up 1 flight of stairs), I'm looking to change both of these and so was considering buying myself an exercise bike and/or a cross trainer. However, I have absolutely no idea what features I should be looking for and so I'd appreciate any guidance…

An app to tell me how far I 've run??
I have just done my first park run and really enjoyed it. However yesterday they had people there who ran at a set pace which I found really good. So you choose how long you think you will take and you run with the 32 minute person or the 40 minute person or whatever. Is there an app out there that I can enter my distance…

An Economical Protein Diet
Hello, I have been neglecting my health for quite a few years now, buying the cheapest and unhealthiest food, more for pleasure and cheap living, than a balance between healthy living and money saving. However, I would like this to change and in the last few months I have been making efforts to incorporate a diet that will…

Race for Life
Erm, I've signed up to do a 5k Race for Life in June! Apologies in advance to all you sporty types on here but I'm more used to waste reduction than waist reduction! So while I chose to do it, spurred on by getting a Fitbit for Christmas, I'm more used to spending any free time I have lying on the sofa, watching TV,…
