Day 1 of the fight back.
Ouch! everything aches! 52 years old and with a gradually increasingly sedentary job, poor joints, gout, bit of rheumatism, 3 to 4 stone overweight (but stable, good diet) and the last straw now.. high blood pressure. Few years back used to be quite active, I could walk forever, I got more done, more energy. Now a flight…

Children's swimming lessons cancellation
My two children have been having regular swimming lessons, which we paid for by direct debit on a monthly basis, for two years now. The cost is nearly £70 a month and has been crippling us. They're confident swimmers so we thought we could just stop the lessons and save some money. I've just heard from the Company that we…

anyone joined in The Gym membership?
On their website it says £99 for 6 months - student offer and it sounds good so I signed up and made the payment. However, once I logged in my account, it says "Your 10 month student membership expires on the 4th July." Does anyone know how they charge people after the first 6 months? Thanks

Wanting to lose a beer gut
Through several years of drinking too much and not watching what I eat, I have developed a gut. I want to lose this beer gut and my partner wants to lose some weight too. Garmin Express
Can anyone help me with the Garmin Express software please: Hubby and I both have Garmin Forerunners, I upload my info all the time but hubby doesn't because he's a techno-phobe. MET's - what are they?
I have been into sport for around forty years, and used to measure my fitness on how I felt after exercise, the duration of the exercise, and in recent years (in the gym) by how many calories I had burned off and what level I was exercising at. Last week I read an article in the Guardian, which suggested that our exercise…

Private or council gym and swimming pool?
I have finally learned to swim but still pretty poor and prone to a bit of a panic when out of my depth. Currently I go to the council gym and swimming pool. The gym is fine. The pool is very wide, and is roped off so that it provides for swimming lessons, lane swimming and an area for general swimming. It's 2 metres at…
