jet2 free child places
I was trying to book a big one time family holiday for 15. Found the free child places on Jet2 Holidays. Tried to book on one booking but only one free child place showing. So decided to book for individual families. 5 tabs open on my computer - each one showing a free child place. Booked the first room with 1 free child…

Three mobile phone reception
My wife and I are experiencing problems with Three mobile phone reception, which has been much worse for several weeks now. We have contacted Three, who assure us that they are dealing with this known problem. This is a serious problem as my wife's mother is 90 years old, lives on her own, and if she falls at any time she…

Nectar Points Stolen
This post is to warn any Nectar card customers out there to be vigilant. We had 5000 (£25) points taken from our card. We live in Notts, and only ever spend in our local Sainsbury’s. These points were redeemed in Hayes. We have reported it to Nectar, and they have agreed to refund the points with an additional 2000 points.…

NatWest - new account
Bear with me, I’m ranting 😃 I opened a new current account with NatWest 2 weeks ago. All good so far, switch went well. I had a 4 figure cheque to pay in so trudged 16 miles to a branch to pay in. This afternoon I logged onto the app to see that the cheque I paid in is still pending and the bank I deposited the cheque with…

Buying home electronics
For the first time in many years, I am now looking to buy a few things like fridge/freezer, TV, etc. for our new house. I was surprised to see so many with poor energy rating and I haven't seen anything above D. I seem to remember my TV had an energy rating of A+ - what happened? New tech requiring higher power input or…

Shell energy fix
Shell energy have a new 1 year fix for electricity. However, the standing charge is being racked up yet again to 63.63p day. This rip off has to stop. Why are they being allowed to get away with this? The standing charge will soon be £1 a day, it’s criminal. Rip off Britain and they are all in it together.

Open Banking - Warning, know what you getting into
Shawbrook Bank has just wasted theirs and my time by allowing me to open an instant access esaver account which appeared as one of MSE's high-interest earners recently. Please see the thread I started here. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/80183693#Comment_80183693 Nothing was mentioned in the…

British Gas home Care
My praise has to go to BG for their help when our electricity failed. It was on Saturday pm and we had no power. I rang BG home care team and the earliest they could send someone out was on Sunday. However the advisor said they would speak to their manager to see what they could do and would phone me back in 15 mins. As…

TK Maxx "RRP"
I think that by now we all know that TK Maxx have things specially made for them by manufacturers and retailers which they otherwise would not make. For example, Le Crueset make special versions of their products in colours that they don't sell in their own store, and Versace supply clothes that are made only for TK Maxx…

Charity shop issues
Hi I went to a few charity shops today in a poverty stricken area and the prices that they are putting on items are ridiculous, I understand that they have to make money and I donate to many charities but I looked at a pair of jeans and the price tag was £300 in a charity shop, who goes into a charity shop in poverty…

Woke this morning to get the Green Screen Of Death on V6 box. Went online, google and see means hard drive has died. Phone up Virgin, so no you do not speak to a real person just text sent telling me to do the usual check wires turn off hub, which is useless for the Green Screen Error. Of course the message on the TV is do…

Why you cannot enforce your legal rights against Trustpilot
"Trustpilot" is often mentioned in these forums, but it should be of concern that the corporate structure has been set up in such a way that UK data subjects cannot enforce their privacy rights: anyone using the UK Trustpilot web site is agreeing not only that they are contracted with Trustpilot A/S in Denmark, but they…

Benefit Fraud
What is the likely hood of someone being charged with benefit fraud? I know the DWP is stretched but do they they seriously investigate every claim of fraud of those they deem the most serious? I ask as someone I know is fraudulently claiming DLA and careers allowance for their child even though the child has no medical…

Is there really such a thing as Free Crypto - Bitcoin scam!
Got a SMS from the number 00153. The number itself seems strange, but then the message was even stranger. I think it's a cryptocurrency scammer who's trying to lure unsuspecting individuals with promises of free Bitcoin. Not 100% sure what to think. Another person on the caller ID app I use said they were offered free…

GARDENING EXPRESS
:/ I unfortunately made the mistake of ordering from this company without researching previous online reviews. I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this:? Order made 12/04 £108. Website at the time stated 3/5 days which I didn't expect to be fulfilled and was prepared to wait longer but now 30/04 and still no…

Lost shopping at Lidl
Have you ever put an item in the supermarket trolley and found out there's no sign of it when you got home? There's a number of possible explanations; I suspect the most common is rushing at the checkout and leaving it the out-tray of the till. Anyway, I asked the cashier if they had any record of a bin liner roll being…

Just how long does it take Churchill to pay?
My garage first submitted a repair invoice for payment to Churchill on 6th June and they still haven't paid. My car is sitting in the garage but they won't release it till they are paid. Every day I call (it takes about 40 minutes to get through). New excuses are given me. on the 15th of June they "couldnt access their…
