Self insuring your pet via savings. Anyone do this? How do you find it?
I'm not a fan of insurance. I have car and home insurance because I have to, but that's it. Pet insurance has limits etc. and there's a lot they don't pay out for, so I'm considering putting £10k into savings and then adding monthly and having that as insurance for our dog. Wonder if anyone else does something similar?

He is running very very low and I have been looking for a…

Switching pet insurance with pre-existing condition
I've got a cavalier king charles which has had surgery on both its legs to ensure its patella doesn't pop out while running and has no existing health conditions which we're aware of. My insurance has gone up to £50pm which I think is quite high so I was wondering if I'd be okay to switch as while the surgery is a…

Horse and kangaroo meat cat food is for sale on Amazon!
I was surprised to see tins of horse meat and of kangaroo meat cat food for sale on Amazon. I could post the links here, but maybe better not to. I don't think it's illegal but it's distasteful (so to speak!) and perhaps carries health risks. From what I read, the kangaroos are caught in the wild and can be diseased.

Hi, we wondered if anyone would know who the regulatory body for www.vetsend.co.uk (online pet pharmacy, 'co.uk' web address, but based in the Netherlands) would be, or how we would find this out? We've requested this information from 'Vetsend' itself several times, but they have refused to provide it.

My dog acts up when I am on the phone
I have a dog which came from a dogs home a few years ago.
