ideas for small treats good for teeth?

Has anyone any ideas for dog treats which are neutral or positive for teeth.  Obviously there are dental sticks, but some of these don't seem to work and are too big for frequent snacks. Ideally something the size of kibble with plaque removal capability would be ideal.  I'm tempted to use kibble dipped in enzyme toothpaste!  Perhaps if I broke up the dental sticks into small pieces and dosed with parsley which is supposed to be good for reducing odour.

    Hi
I think they need to be bigger chewy things to be good for teeth & I'd suggest a visit to a local petshop to see what they've got.

dipping in toothpaste won't help . You need to get a dog toothbrush- slips over your finger and use a dog toothpaste to clean the teeth.
Gnawing on bones can help to remove plaque but do NOT use cooked or smoked bones which can splinter and are dangerous if bits swallowed.
Speak to you vet about getting the teeth scaled and then keeping them clean.

The best is keeping a regular cleaning with soft toothbrush.
You can try to switch your dog from artificial treats to carrots batons and apple sticks. My dog loves them.

I recommend Fish for Dogs fish skin products which cleaned my cavalier, Joly's , teeth when he was one of those who wont tolerate a toothbrush. After a couple of years as a young dog, he had to have teeth removed , but after his fish skins ,which all four dogs enjoyed, his teeth were sparkling white. I had already tried all the liquids and powders suggested, but they had no effect. I always bought a size bigger than you'd expect for the size of dog, as, if they had the small cubes they would be swallowed, without touching the teeth.

Sadly no more chews or fish treats, as I lost Teddy, as in my username; last of the foursome and 17+, in February.

Whimzees are great , as they are tough enough and clean enough for them to gnaw for long and get a good amount of jaw exercise and teeth benefit.
carrots are also a good idea
