Pet Insurance:Which Insurance companies will cover my Dog for a referral to a Clinical Behaviourist?

Hi All,
This is my first thread:
I have been trying to find pet insurance for my 1 yr old dog which will cover a referral & costs of a clinical behaviourist. So far I have come across Sainsburys, Mipet Insurance and Agria Pet.
We are already insured by Admiral (does not include behavioural) and working with a trainer on a one-to-one basis which has been going well but we still have a few on-going issues around food/resource guarding. The advice, and next stage, is to see a clinical behaviourist (referral by our local vet). However, we have been told it will be an expensive next step.
Any advice on choosing pet insurance or any other insurers (not listed above) which will cover a clinical behaviourist would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Not an expert, but given that this appears to be a known issue already, wouldn't it be excluded from any new insurance you take out as a pre-existing condition ?

Petplan offer referrals to behaviourists, however they do ask as one of the screening questions whether the dog has had any issues with aggression so I would also expect a possible exclusion on that basis.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
A professional behaviourist will require a referral from a vet as to why. This will establish that there is an existing problem when taking out a new insurance. That will then be a pre existing condition and be excluded.
I am afraid you will not get an insurance to cover it as it already exists before taking out the policy.-1 -
As others have said, you can't get insurance against a known issue. Same with human health insurance - you can't take out a Bupa policy when you know you're ill and then get them to pay for private treatment. It's for the future unknowns.0
