Ditching Landline
I'm thinking of getting rid of my Virgin Media phone line which currently allows free calls to any UK phone under my Talk More Anytime contract. The reason I'm doing this is that those SIM-only deals look much better value with their unlimited minutes and texts. My question is in relation to calling the Republic of Ireland…

Huge mid contract price increases
Looking around at SIM only offers for a neighbour who takes a lot of European holidays, it became apparent that several of the “free EU roaming” networks also include significant mid-contract price rises. In some cases it exceeds 17% this year (O2). The prices of new SIM only contracts are often less than the current one,…

Manage multiple numbers on one account
Hello - does anyone have any experience of any phone providers that allow you to manage multiple sims from one account? I’m wanting to buy 12 cheap sim only contracts for my family (mixture of mobile and tablet use), but just wanting one place to manage it from - ie for general administration and billing. I also want to…

Lebara Roaming
I bought a Lebara SIM for our holiday to India. Despite following Lebara instructions I was never able to access the internet, we were in the cities, while I was there. Despite promises of return calls by customer care. I have not heard anything. A waste of money.

Basic mobile for the technically challenged
I'm trying to sort out a mobile phone for a friend who lives miles away. He's elderly and not at all technical. He seems to have a mobile he got from Virgin called an Artfone C1 but as far as I can see that's no use as 1. Virgin are ceasing to exist and 2. It's only a 2G phone. He's never even opened it. He only needs the…

SIM card only - like it used to be?
Years ago if you had a phone and you wanted a SIM card for some temporary or even permanent use, you'd pop into a shop or even a newsagent, buy a SIM for a few quid and that would be that. Am I missing something in this supposed "SIM only" world, or can't you do that any more? I have an old phone knocking around and would…

mark20000
I've just contacted Plusnet to get them to stop the CPI increase (which they did - well done Craig) and discovered that the service will soon be discontinued and we will all be transferred to EE who look so much more expensive. I can't find out when this will happen. Anyone have any further information? Thanks

Mid contract Increase - Vodaphone
Just a heads up in case any Vodaphone customers haven't been notified yet. I've just been notified about a mid contract price increase. So, I have a 'Consumers Price Increase' of 10.5% plus an additional 3.9% to help support the continued investment in the network! So a total of 14.4% increase! To make matters worse I have…

Virgin Mobile - switching existing SIMs to new deal?
My wife and kids have Virgin Mobile SIMs. In previous years, at least once or twice, when the price increases have happened, we have been able to find cheaper deals, still with VM, via comparison sites such as Uswitch or MoneySupermarket. The handy thing has been that by making sure we were logged into our Virgin Mobile…

New Sim Card, can I delay the activation?
I am getting made redundant at work and for years had the benefit of being allowed to use my work mobile for personal use. My garden leave ends in first week of June. I have a PAC code which expires in a couple of weeks and want to keep my number. It was a pain to get the PAC code because I had to get it from the named…

Poor Voice Call Quality With Mobile?
I'm never been a mobile user, but I resurrected an ancient Nokia 3510i (received as a present, many years ago) to use purely for receiving OTP texts with online banking, using an RWG SIM, and it has been fine. However, with a large increase in my broadband/landline renewal price, which had previously included anytime…
