Short version :
About late may early june i got in touch with an online internet phone company about having 3 Samsung Galaxy A54s for myself my wife and our grown up daughter. We have been with 3 network for years but we were wanting to change our old S9s and this company prices for the monthly payments looked great.
So rang them up, organised the phones for the family and i was told yes thats all gone through. My wife at that time was in hospital recovering from a major bleed on the brain. When visiting her the next day i came across an email from this internet company stating that unfortunately your with us has been declined by Three and we've had to cancel the order within our system. We cannot give specifics but it may be down to credit history or something like that? Well i was fuming, i got straight onto Three who said they didn't know why that was the case and did i still want the phones. I said yes and they set me up with 3 A54s at an even better price than the internet company. The delivery from Three arrived via DPD which unbeknown to me included a phone from the internet company that said my order had been declined. This phone got put aside to return. When i got in touch with them they tried to tell me that the refusal was for two of the phones and not that one. Anyway the phone got mislaid and forgotten for a while because of everything going on with my wife and only got remembered when i started getting the monthly bill for the phone for june and july. The phone has not been opened, the seal is intact, i was told my order had been declined thats why i recontracted with Three?
Am i within my rights to return this phone to the internet company as i was told my order was declined?
By the way, the bill is on a headed invoice from Three. I do not need this phone.

That's a little difficult to read.
I think you ordered 3 Three phones but two were declined when the enigmatic internet company tried to setup the account with Three.
Because of being busy, you forgot about the extra phone and now want to return it?
You are outside of the 14 day cooling off period so will need to contact the "internet company" to see what they say.

How to proceed?I've quoted this and broken it up into paragraphs as your post is almost impossible to read otherwise.So the issue boils down to you want to return a phone that you received three months ago? Sorry, that's not going to happen because that window closed 14 days after you first received it. Doesn't matter if its still in its original shrink wrapping.I think the mistake here was going straight to 3. What you probably should have done was go back to the internet company in the first instance. Which is what you need to do in the current situation.1
