Open Cash ISA without Photographic ID
I have tried to open a Cash ISA with Trading 212 for my sister but she has no photographic ID. Does anyone know of an ISA account which can be opened without this please?. It seems very unfair that those without this means of ID are excluded from getting the best rate. Thank you

ISA Query
Has anyone tried to open a new Cash ISA by transferring in, rather than using an initial deposit? I can't make a deposit, as I have maxed out this year's allowance. I tried to open an Natwest ISA online but it just asked me to make initial deposit (from my current account, as I bank with them). No option to transfer in, as…

Is Hargreaves Lansdown Cash ISA protected by FSCS
Hello everyone I would like to move my life savings, about 7,000, from my
very low interest rate bank into a better but secure Cash ISA provider. Hargreaves
Lansdown currently gives a high Interest rate of 4.55% and it seems a
good company from what I read about. However, I am totally confused whether my savings will…

Help with ISA
I have 3 isa accounts with 20k balances in each. I have taken them out each year for the last 3 years. My questions are: 1. Can I move 1 or more of the isa's for a better rate at any time? 2. Next tax year if I wish to open an additional 20k isa. What are my options with the other 3 isa's or do I need to leave them with…

Junior ISA investment
Hi - I’m just about to deposit my first sum into my new grandsons Junior ISA and I’d like to get some views on the best low cost well diversified passive index fund that I could put the money into bearing in mind it won’t be touched for 18 years. By default I’d probably use the Vanguard Lifestrategy 100 acc fund - but I’m…

LISA Query
Hi, can someone confirm this for me please? I opened a LISA at the start of October, so I will get the 25% bonus in October 26. But is my 4k limit, and the 25% bonus, calculated by the tax year? So what I’m saying is can I put in the full 4k before April 26, and another 4k before October 26, and when the 12 months comes…

Opening another Cash ISA
I have a year fixed rate with Virgin, it will mature at the end of the month. I'm about to get some inheritance money but I won't get this money on time to add it to my Virgin Cash ISA, if I don't do anything, they will move me to an easy access account with a far lower rate. If I sign up again for a year fixed rate, I…

AJ Bell Dodl S&S ISA
I have a soon to mature cash ISA with Kent Reliance (£22,700), that I’m considering transferring over to a Dodl S&S ISA. I’m a complete novice to investing and I know the products Dodl offer are somewhat limited compared to other platforms, but to a newbie this is maybe not a bad thing?I’m steering clear of company shares,…

Virgin Money ISA statement question
I have a question on my Virgin Money easy access flexible ISA statement. I have been using this account to fund to some current accounts to satisfy my monthly pay in requiements, along with other payments. Any remaining balance is then moved back into the VM ISA. However, this month I have noticed that the VM statement…

MSE News: Government fails to act on Lifetime ISA fines
The Government has failed to commit to urgently addressing "serious holes" in Lifetime ISAs (LISAs). It follows calls from cross-party MPs for reform, as well as long-standing campaigning from MoneySavingExpert.com (MSE) founder Martin Lewis to scrap the scheme's fine on first-time buyers purchasing homes above the LISA's…

Trading 212 can't transfer to Chip
I've got a flexible Trading 212 ISA that has a £1 balance although it had a £13K balance earlier during this tax year, including £8K in deposits since March. The bonus rate has finished so I'm getting 3.85% so I've opened at 4.42% Chip ISA 9also flexible). I've tried to transfer the Trading 212 ISA but it's not listed by…

Have I lost my Isa allowance
Hello , on 20/10/ 25 my identity was verified with Trading 212 but I didn’t deposit any money until today 10/11/25 ….i was unaware that if I did not deposit funds into my account within ten days of opening the account I would lose the bonus amount of 0.68% and would therefore only get a basic 3.85% …being rather hot headed…

Child trust fund and JISA
It appears that my child has both a child trust fund and a junior isa. The lady at the bank said she shouldn't have both, but offered no further advice. Accounts are with different banks. Does anyone know if I need to do anything or will this be OK?

NatWest one year fixed rate cash ISA Issue 384
I have just noticed the following on my NatWest ISA Issue 384 maturing 12 Nov 2026. " You must not have subscribed to another cash ISA (including a Help to Buy: ISA with another provider) or invested the maximum amount in any combination of permitted ISAs in the same tax year." I find this a bit confusing as it appears to…

what is the maths for ditching fixed and paying penalty?
have a fixed rate cash isa at 2.05% . trying to work out if to go to higher interest isa and pay the 90 day penalty. So - Is it correct that to work this out i take 90 days as a quarter of a year- so take a quarter off that interest rate which would mean if i could get a rate better than 1.5% then i should pay the penalty…

ISA & Winter Fuel
I am perilously near the 35,000 limit for clawing back the Winter Fuel allowance through my tax code, and it is touch and go whether I breach the £35,000 figure. My wife is not particularly near it. We both have a decent holding in Cash Isa's. I was considering withdrawing some of my ISA and transferring it to hers, where…
